Waiouru Army Museum

Loved the visit there. Priced well for all the knowledge that the museum holds. Enjoyed learning more about the history of NZ and what has gone on. Lovely little area for kids.

Interesting museum to visit. There is a wonderful collection of weapons through the centuries. The constant recorded reading of the names of all the Forces personnel who lost their lives in the service of their country brought tears to my eyes. Lest we forget.

Cool place to check out. Needed more time, so much to see! Lovely helpful staff - we had to leave our back pack at the reception and completely forgot it! They were so helpful and even arranged to courier it back to the South Island! Thanks guys

Great place to stop on the way up and down the country. Bathrooms are tidy, cafe is nice and view of the mountain is great. It's been a few years since we went through the museum part but recall it being pretty good too.

A great informative experience with well maintained interesting exhibits and good facilities. A must for those interested in military history .

Beautiful place to learn about NZ army and it's achievements. Fantastically arranged musuem with options to either choose self guiding tour or professionally guided tour. Has a great cafe and lovely gift shop.

Lots of memorabilia on NZ past. Great exhibits both indoors and out. New exhibit just opened. A sombre moving place of reflection all must see. Well presented and awesome play area to keep budding recruits occupied!! Cafe to relax in and souvenir store all in the one huge complex.
