The track is located in the waiotapu thermal wonderland and connects all major sites. There are three sections which can be done separately. The final section takes you to the green lake, so you should definitely do it. We spent about 90 minutes to do all three sections when we visited. If you wanna take lots of pictures, you will surely need more time. Take sunscreen as there is not much shadow on the track.
A wonderful place to visit. It's 30 minutes drive from Rotorua city center.nIf you want to see the Lady Geyser, it can be a bit confuse. You need to buy the ticket in the counter or take the ticket even if you have made the booking on line. Then you need to drive up to the geyser. After that drive back to the car park and entrance to the park.
Come to see the wonders of a volcanic region. New Zealand is on the ring of fire and it shows in this park. Get out and enjoy. There are several stopping points. Do them all. The visitor center will collect the entrance fees.
Incredible nature experience. Sulphur smell free.nGo in the AM if you want to see a geyser eruption. Be there by 10am.
It was one of the best insane experience till date. Looking at those hot mud bubbles, coming from the earth and the steam as well, because it's so hot it may burn you. The temperature varies from 60-100c here in the pool.
