Waiting room closes at midday weekdays an not at all at weekends. There is now a separate rest room.
Nice trains to see, special when you are driving on the HWY 1
Lovely wee station kept neat and tidy, though it is a shame the ticket office is only open weekday mornings and most of the seats for waiting somewhere under cover from weather are inside the ticket office. These Metlink stations should have more seating in general I reckon.
Good for sitting and waiting for the train
They really need a place out of the way from wind and rain for people to take cover. The ticket office should also have longer opening hours. Though a good quick train to Wellington is running every twenty minutes, so that's good.
Semi decent parking available, well lit
A nice station, but toilets are closed when the ticket agent isn't there. They need to organise an honorary caretaker to keep the interior unlocked for longer.
Very convenient station. Just needs a pedestrian over bridge to the parking area.
Nice and tidy ticket area to wait.
