Pretty good option for accom, great location and an alright kitchen I do think there should be a sign up for how to use the electric stoves as a lot of people seemed to be struggling. The rooms were pretty standard as well with lockers, also a good selection of private bathrooms as well as cubicles.
The bunk beds are a bit wobbly so if the other person turns the bed wobbles, but otherwise the room was fine. There are several bathrooms and toilets throughout the building so even if the one close to your dorm is occupied you can always find another one.nThe kitchen is also spacious and is meticulously cleaned, every morning the staff go through and clean everything, including the lesser used items such as the microwaves.nDownstairs there's a bar and lounge area with some books, a TV and puzzles. Would be nice if the staff could find some new puzzles as most of them are missing pieces. But it was nice to be able to make one during a rainy Christchurch afternoon!
Stay here for around 5 days and everything is perfect! They help us on parking too haha. Located in city centre, there are few playground in walking distance. Luggage storage available too. Staff is helpful and friendly. Room is clean and tidy. Excellent service from the staff. Highly recommend
Wouldn't stay here again unfortunately. The hostels in a good location and but that's the one good thing in my opinion.nnMy room was really really hot with no ventilation apart from a small window. Was woken up at 6am by trucks noisily working just outside for hours. Kitchen gets cleaned around 9 am which is a weird time if you're wanting to have breakfast in there and the staff blast out their music while they work so it's an uncomfortable environment to be in in the mornings
The desk girl who checked me in was unknowledgeable about the facilities, pointing me out the wrong door which took me up the wrong stairs and brought me around the entire building before finding my room. But the facilities were fine except for the lack of elevator and the wobbly bed frames.
