The mall owner wants to create more revenue via ripping off customers - congratulations, you are digging your own grave. As the title suggests, I am very upset with the $65 parking ticket that I have recently received. My issue is this, - I have received a $65 parking ticket for 30 mins of parking which would've cost me a $1 parking fee. To be fair, YES - the mall owner has the right to charge people for the car park service that they provide even though no other mall in Christchurch nor Wellington does this, however, charging people $65 for a $1 parking fee is simply ridiculous. - As shown in the photos attached, I can read the 5HR sign at the carpark entrance, but the words and sentences to indicate that they now charge for the carpark are too small to read. There needs to be clear & bigger signs! I suggest putting another warning sign next to MAX HEIGHT 2.1 METERS same font, colour and size. - There were hardly any vehicles in the carpark. In fact, the carpark is virtually empty most of the time. - Nobody is available to discuss/receive complaints. I've tried calling the mall multiple times, failed to find their office in the mall and the mall manager is not even answering his mobile phone. Once again, congratulations on digging your grave. MARK MY WORDS People in Wellington will not support your ridiculous behaviour.
It is a shadow of its former self. I used to spend annually, a few thousand dollars in there 10 years ago. Now a few hundred. The escalator has been iffy for 15 years or so. Finding a park in the main street has been exacerbated by the Malls management's move to charging for underground parking. Is it a pay wave system? This reduces the percentage of foot traffic in the Mall. The elderly are now affected by this. Can't walk as far as others. Cheers all. Stay safe.

As a local resident, used to shop in the mall quit often. It is totally different now. Free car park is gone. There is no clear sign of this change. My Christmas shopping in the mall ended up with $65 fine on 1hour parking on the car park. This business should not be supported. I will never go there again.
I will never shop at the mall Upper Hutt anymore, went to the warehouse buy $100 off things, took me about 20 minutes and I didn't know that I had to pay at the mall car park , and I got a $65 fine for parking in the mall , I will never ever shop there again !!!I 'll be glad to see the mall close down!! This $65 I will treat it like a donation for your funeral!!!
Got a $65 ticket the other day for the paid underground parking. Im happy to admit I dashed in for a half hour, didnt pay..no problem in essence paying a fine for that behaviour. But $65 is an absolute rip off. I wont return. Or if I do, I will park on the street - i urge all shoppers to do that same if you insist on supporting this mall. This will the final nail in the coffin of this dying relic. Go to Queensgate, it is far, far superior and they don't charge for parking.
That is a very simple and small shopping mall. It is well looked after. More retail varieties would be desirable. It does the job as a local mall
Disgusting mall. Hardly any decent shops, charges for parking. Toilets are filthy and my small child was hurt hit in the head by a broken toilet paper despenser that has been broken for a long time.
It's not too bad there's alot of handy awesome shops throughout this shopping centre have to higly recommend the phone repair shop in there, he has the best prices for Samsung's and iphones he is 5star
Absolutely disgusting that they are now charging people to park inside Trentham Mall. I am a carer for a disabled pensioner in a wheel chair and completely forgot to buy a parking ticket... So got stiffed with a $65 infringement..plus a card transaction fee. Can you please explain to Gloria Jeans, Farmers, the Warehouse, #1 Shoes, Lindcraft. Paper Plus, Postie Plus and the discount shops.. why we will no longer be coming to the mall and be their customers.
