I saw one of their doctors in mid January 2024 and got some prescribed medication. Today, 5 months later my condition was unchanged. I went back to the centre to talk to the practice manager about this because this was unacceptable. I paid to see a doctor and to get the meds all for nothing. She was unavailable at the time but two hours later I got a call from the general manager. I explained to her that I was unhappy about the results and that it's unfair towards me as a patient to pay a doctor again to give me another prescription. I explained to her that I will not be experimented on by the doctors there. I told her that I dont have the money to spend not knowing if it will be a success. All she said was that it's unfortunate that the medication did not work for me and that I must come and see another doctor. More money which I don't have. She showed zero empathy towards my situation and didn't even care to offer any solution. I was really disgusted by her behaviour and expected more of someone in her position. It's like taking your car to a mechanic and pay them to fix it only to find out it wasn't fixed. Then to go back to the same mechanic to pay them again to fix the problem that was supposed to be fixed the first time. It's absurd!!!!!!!nI could see that the conversation was going nowhere and we kept going around in circles. It was clear that this practice do not care about the patients wellbeing and whether their problem get solved or not. For them it's all about the money. She failed to acknowledge that the doctor made a mistake and refused to offer a remedy for the problem. Instead she got impatient on the phone and chose to end the call. Absolutely unacceptable behaviour. I've been enrolled with this practice since 2008 and this is the worst I've ever been treated. To top it all I had to pay to be treated like this. I'm just wondering how many other people are in the same boat as me but are too scared to challenge them as a health care provider. No wonder they have so many one star ratings.
Horrible service, incredibly extensive costs/fees and they don’t even help you lol. better off going to the centre next door and save your money and health. They’re just there for the check.
$60 for a 3 min phone consultation - to only be referred to another doctor for a face to face consult. I live 2 hours away as every other medical center doesn't take on new patients.nGreat.
Totally gone down hill in the last few years, cannot get to see anyone, got told if I’m up early enough, I might get one of the 4 on the day appointments, they no longer allow any forward bookings. I’m leaving and trying my luck elsewhere.
What's going on at this place with patients in need of doctors' care, let alone services. On booking for seeing a doctor in urgent, 2 week time to get an available doctor, not even a duty doctor not a practice nurse!nWhat is the reasons?nDoctor shortages, population increase in Upper Hutt?nIs there a crisis in Upper Hutt health system with more than 3 health centres?
