Breakfast with family 4. Service excellent. Speed of hot drinks and food nice and quick. Hot drinks coffees and hot chocolates were good. Food was nice, only disappointment was the waffles didn't have the light and crunchy texture we've had elsewhere, very hungry though, so all consumed.
I arrived here after a long walk extremely busy but staff very friendly and making sure to clear and clean tables. I could not make my mind up what to have so went for plum danish and soy flat white and my sister had decaf and the banana bread. All very good. Coffee had good flavour and well made. Banana bread was better than the danish. Highly recommend. Cost $$
Service check Menu Staff Price We both ordered the Turkish eggs which were next level amazing! The coffee was brewed perfectly and Café Tennyson is now on our list of go-to places in Napier. Lovely vibe and overall a 10/10 experience. Go! You won't regret it.

Great coffee and friendly staff. Egg Bene and French Waffles are standard cafe foods. The atmosphere is really nice. Off street pay parking is reasonable price.

After waiting 20 minutes for a simple ham and cheese croissant, thought I'd better check with the staff. "on its way" 15 minutes later went to check and there it was burnt and sitting on the bench. The cook puts his hand on it to check if it's still warm and the waitress goes to hand it to me. No thanks and keep the money, you need it more than me. On a positive note, the coffee was good
Went here for coffee with a friend, coffee was perfect, staff were so friendly and helpful. We did not eat anything but the food being served around us look delicious. Would highly recommend this place, huge improvement since new ownership. Will be backService: 5/5

Lovely atmosphere, a bit cramped when full but cozy and warm when it's raining outside. Great Eggs bene with good coffee!!
