Story

UBS is one of New Zealand's largest independent bookstores.

Our store is on University Drive, Ilam, Christchurch and holds an extensive selection of titles. If we haven't got it, we will do our utmost to source it for you!

We also have a large selection of stationery, magazines, cards and newspapers. UBS has friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff to help you make the right selection.

Our Riccarton Avenue hospital store has closed due to earthquake damage.

Staff are lovely but to keep it open it isn't the cheepest place to get stuff. But they do have pretty much everything you might want for uni.
Very helpful and understanding when changing courses
I like this bookstore. I think it is the best bookstore in the city beside Scopio bookstore. Great selections of a books and also many bargin books too. I Love this place.

Excellent bookshop!!! You will certainly find a great blend of tastes and knowledge in diversified areas. Every bookworm will get great range of options to choose from. I visited the bookshop couple of times and every time I came out with my desired item plus something that I didn't think of ealrlier : Please have a visit there. A good book is always a great gift. If you are trying to sort out a gift for someone, it's definitely a good place for you to be. Happy reading everyone :D
This is an independent bookshop supporting the local community. All cards and gifts are a bit different and they support NZ made goods. The book selection is quite eclectic, the staff are lovely and there are even kids toys and books.
A great book shop with an excellent range of science, natural history, art, and all kinds of other books, better than any other book shop in Christchurch. I've always found the right book as a present or for myself, and the knowledgeable staff are super helpful. Also carries stationery, gift cards, and lots of other things.
