Extremely disappointing experience — no accountability from the owner and a terrible bed.nnI booked a room at U Studios through Expedia for what was listed as $138.87, with no clear warning that the price was in USD.even tho you are booking in nz. I was then charged $247.77 NZD — nearly double what I expected. Even with conversion and card fees, the total didn’t add up.nnWhen I contacted the hotel, the owner told me over the phone it wasn’t his problem, then followed up by text saying it was an issue with Expedia. As a business owner myself, I’d never treat a customer like that. U Studios received the money and could’ve offered support or a partial refund, but instead just passed the buck and refused to get involved.nnTo make matters worse, the bed was extremely uncomfortable — like sleeping on a stack of crooked books. Not what you’d expect after paying that much.nnIf you’re considering staying here, I strongly suggest not to — or better yet, look elsewhere. If something goes wrong, you’ll be on your own.
I really enjoyed staying here. It was clean and quiet. Felt homely, Rather than that motel feel. Full kitchen which was really useful. Bit of a walk to town but we had a car so didn’t matter.
They took double the amount of money on that was stated on the website for 1 night, and now refuse to give a refund. Terrible Terrible business. Do not stay here.
If you are needing a place to stay in Masterton, i recommend U Studios.nI found it very clean & well presented. The beds were comfy. James made easy to check in and was easy to deal with.nDefinitely giv U Studios a try, u wont be disappointed.
Ok place, stayed 1 night. Quiet a nd nice area , a little too long walk to town. Good parking / pool
