Such an awesome meal that I was so looking forward to. Also one of the best curries I’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to come back again, not just for the amazing food but for the friendly faces as well.
Me and my partner moved to stokes valley over a year ago and always wanted to try Tummy Treat as we are just down the road and tonight we finally ordered. I Don’t know why we left it so long as this place is so nice! We got the butter chicken and the butter paneer with an onion Bhaji and a garlic naan and it was all so tasty and the perfect size! Very reasonably priced with the amount of curry you get. I also love that they always put their hand up when people make a post on the Stokes Valley facebook page asking for help for food, they are always in the comments saying they can supply something to help out free of charge. So nice to see from a small business.nWe will totally be making this are regular :
If you live in stokes or are passing by and are staying at your friend's house ... why not order from this local place?nnThey have an amazing selection of curry and they are all delicious. The sauce is always nice and thick so its perfect for your rice or naan which are always very large and fluffy.nnParking in the street in front of the restaurant is super easy. You can place an order online and head there when it's ready. Their staff is always so friendly, and I've often seen them on social medias feed struggling families for free.
For a small restaurant they go big on quality. Most of the things asked for Indian hot come Indian hot which is a manageable challenge for the kiwi palate extra hot is the real challenge here.nnTheir biriyanis stick to the authentic styles which they claim, the only variation is the grain of rice they use sometimes south indian biriyanis are generally short grain and not basmati, they know and account for this with their kerala style stuff the chicken lolipop here is a dry version with chaat masala on top and not the manchurian style which is the current trend overseas. The breads are authentic and are portioned well hence the 5 stars.nnKeep doing what youre doing!!
Had Hyderabadi Chicken 65 and Tandoori Lacha parata for lunch today and it was amazing. Ordered medium heat and that as spot on. Will certainly become a repeat customer.
