TAB Arena is a tremendously good asset. The seating is great with adequate slope to provide a clear view of the stage. It has an impressive array of equipment from revolving stages, trap doors and lifting gear to enable very sophisticated shows. The lighting and sound systems are excellent. We watched WOW show which took full advantage of the available features.
WOW show was amazing, can't recommend it enough. If you haven't seen it definitely go ....mind blowing.
The fotos don't do justice to the actual art work that can be viewed close up. Artists available to explain their art. Worthwhile going. Art show available this weekend kings birthday. Going early pays off as it gets very busy
Jimmy Carr was brilliant! 90 min runtime. Parking at TSB took almost an hour to get out of the carpark due to the volume of vehicles all leaving at once!
This isn't a review of the arena as such but of the parking situation below it. Any event there don't bother parking underneath TSB. 1/2 the parks are reserved, you get ticketed $7 just to drive through the carpark to not find a park. We ended up parking at Te Papa for $8 for 2 1/2 hours instead. There are no warnings of the state of free parks and as such everyone who went to the event and tried to get a park and failed got charged $7.nnIf you are going to any sort of event at TSB, unless you can physically see free parks from the outside, do not bother entering the carpark.
