Upper Hutt Car Boot Sale - A Fantastic Community Event!nnWhat an amazing day at the Upper Hutt Car Boot Sale at Trentham Racecourse! The sun was shining bright at a gorgeous 30 degrees, creating the perfect atmosphere for a fun-filled Saturday. nnWith over 90 car boot stalls, there was something for everyone - bargains, hidden treasures, and unique finds at every turn. The DJ kept the vibe alive with great music, adding to the buzz and energy of the event. nnA huge shoutout to the organisers for the water statios - a thoughtful touch to keep everyone hydrated in the summer heat. And of course, the food trucks were a fantastic addition, serving up delicious bites to keep us fuelled throughout the day.nnThis event was a true community highlight - great people, great atmosphere, and great finds! Massive venue was Perfect for American Vehicle day! Toilets could certainly do with more attention on busy event days, but as to be expected with 1000’s of people on site.
What a dump. The sooner the inevitable happens and this is turned into cheap housing the better. Wellington cup day a total disgrace in GA. $50 for the pleasure too. Zero facilities, great fun queueing 20mins to use one of the portapotties setup on the ashphalt
Trentham Racecourse for the general admission was extremely disappointing - no seating for elderly, disabled & just general public who want to just sit and watch the races. With the old stand having been removed which we understand 18+'s had a great time, with the band after the races & yes you need to incourage the youth. But the next generations need to be catered for too.... Even board seating on the slope would have helped & for a busy day like Wellington Cup there needed to be more betting outlets, maybe a note to general admission - bring a seat!
We hosted our xmas party here on the weekend. What a phenomenal day.nGreat good, great weather, reasonable prices. Would highly recommended.
