Made a spontaneous purchase and I'm actually happy with the results! I got a tallboy and a side table - didn't take me too long to assemble. Stumbled into a small hiccup trying to assemble my side table so I emailed the support team. They were very helpful and even sent a video for instructions. Overall happy with my experience!
I cannot believe that the 1-star ratings are genuine. I came here on recommendation from my friend, ignoring them - and didn't regret it. The queue was just two people, the order was prepared for pick up in five minutes. No problems with the service - all nice and simple. Speaking of the furniture. Material is around the same quality as in Warehouse and Kmart, but drills and cuts are done with better precision. Surfaces look even better in my opinion. The manual is pretty detailed and easy to follow. Overall, absolutely great value. And btw, no rubbish "tools" bundled with - great bonus, I believe.
If I could give a minus this would be it with flashing lights. Faulty product which they won't accept a return on and blame the customer for the issues. Holes in wood that shouldn't even be there, looks like they made a mistake and just kept drilling. Screws that dont fit and breaks off laminate. Do not buy from this company unless you want to waste money.
Obvz not 5*- cos that’s not the market they’re chasin. And one does have to question their choice of location: was it a strategic biz decision?- I guess it’s not that bad- 12km cruise on the highway, kinda relaxn. But in all other respects- they nailin it: showroom clean and tidy. Ordering system pretty clever. Well planned & thought out warehousing. It’s the budget conscious range of stuff that they into, but if that’s wot yr lookin for, then these guys look like a trusted supplier
I purchased a headboard and an entertainment unit from Treasure Box - we wanted to pickup as we are also in Auckland and wanted to avoid additional freight costs. Got an email from the Customer Support Team to advise I would need to select a pickup date and time from their listed opening hours. When I did this they advised that timeframe was not available as they would not be open - their emails, times on google and on their website all indicated they would be open. If your opening hours advertised are not accurate at least have your reps let people know when trying to arrange to collect their products. We then had to find time to collect our order during work hours which is less than ideal. Replies from the Support team also seem relatively quick until you ask something they don't like or if you point our their miscommunication. When we got home and started to assemble our products we came to notice a few issues: BARBARA Fabric Upholstered Headboard - KING: The splits in the base that allow you to attach this to the base of your bed are not standard size so we were not able to do this and its now just sitting pushed between the bed and wall. They do supply hardware to attach it to the wall instead but this option is not ideal when renting. Not a huge deal but a bit annoying. MATHER 1.5M Entertainment Unit - ESPRESSO: When unpackaged this came with multiple scratches, chips and glue marks. Not a huge deal if they were hidden but they were on the top of the unit and the front. When buying something brand new you do not expect to find markings like this all over the product. I contacted Treasure Box about the markings on the entertainment unit and one of the 1st things they said was it does not affect the functionality - while this is true its also irrelevant as I should not have to deal with marks like this anyway when buying a brand new product. We eventually came to an agreement on compensation but it still seems quite low considering the amount of damage to the unit. I accepted their offer as I didn't really want to drag out the experience any further. As someone that works in a similar Customer Support role in a different company I would not recommend this place. The miscommunication from what is advertised opening hours compared to what their Support Reps tells you is very annoying and I felt like I had to do all the work for them. They should also have a call center as this would have been a lot easier to deal with in a more straightforward manner. I don't blame the staff that I dealt with but the operational management could use some work to improve their customer support department.
I've purchased 2 items from Treasure box. One is a major purchase where I had to deal with a faulty product. Treasure box weighed up my situation and delivered another one completely free without the usual return. I am so impressed by their level of professionalism and dedication to fair customer service. Communications were consistently kind and thoughtful, leaving me feeling highly valued and completely looked after. I trust Treasure box will always do the right thing by their customers. Please consider this Treasure box review of the highest recommendation...
After post my first 1 star review about my terrible shopping experience the store manager contacted me and solve the rest of the issues and apologised. So change my review to accept 3 stars. Here is the original comments: This is the worst furniture place I ever been in Auckland. I would not recommend this place at all. I recently bought a Wardrobe 3 Door Storage Shelves, when I received the product on Friday, half of the items were broken. I tried to contact their customer services team regarding this, because they only do online chat and email which took me forever to get them to reply. After they replied, they mentioned need to pass it over to their inspection team to investigate this issue. The faulty product was massive and just been sitting in my living room for more than 5 days without any solution. I don’t see any connection between replace a new one and investigate it at the same time. I understand might be damaged during the delivery, but why customer needs to suffer from this. I am very disappointed with Treasure box’s customer services, the way they been dealing, is very hard to communicate!
DO NOT BUY FROM OR TRUST THIS COMPANY. I'd give them 0 stars if I could. At the recommendation of the local pet store, I purchased a chicken house. Hands down, it is the worst thing I have ever bought online. The wood isn't much better than balsa wood and is STAPLED together, so is falling apart or broken before you even get it out of the box. I requested a refund as the house is not fit for purpose, after painful emails back and forth they sent a whole new house after seeing how much was broken or missing. I opened the second house yesterday, and could see straight away that it was defective and again, parts are missing. It doesn't matter how many replacements they send, they are extremely poor quality and poorly designed. You can't trust their reviews on their website, they only add the ones that are favourable as they haven't added mine from months ago. Check their feedback on Trade Me. These are photos of SOME of the damaged, defective or unusable parts.
The worst customer service I have received in New Zealand. We ordered and paid for a bed frame online. 2 Weeks later we received both a text and an email to say that our order was ready for collection. We then drove 45 minutes to the warehouse to collect it. The lady on reception gave us a confirmation slip and receipt and told us to wait until our order number was called so we could collect it. We waited for 30-40 minutes to then be told they do not have the product in the warehouse and apparently both the confirmation email and text was sent in error. If that was the case, why then did the lady on reception confirm the product was there on our arrival and then make us wait more than 30 minutes. It is obvious they oversold the product but did not want to admit it. They then tried to exchange the item with a different product that was noting like the one we ordered. We declined and asked for a refund. We paid by credit card, but apparently the money could not be refunded back to our card. If you accept credit card but won’t refund money back to them when things go wrong, then you either shouldn’t accept them in the first place or you need to state it on your website. We then gave a bank account number from one of our different bank accounts so that the money could be transferred as they could not refund the money back to our credit card. I was given the contact details of the manager as i was obviously not happy with the servive. I called and left a message but she never got back to me. Not surprising but even more disappointing. A wasted 1.5 hour round trip, plus the time we were there, fuel wasted, and left empty handed. Avoid this company at all costs. Terrible service.
Abysmal service. I would give a negative rating if that was an option. Bought a desk from these guys and had it delivered. The box was badly damaged, including the parts inside. TreasureBox agreed to arrange for the box to be picked up and to process a full refund. That was 2 weeks ago and neither of those things have happened. To be fair, it was probably the courier who caused the damage, but TreasureBox had the audacity to suggest that I chase their courier to have the desk returned, and now, TreasureBox is not replying to my emails. Off to the Disputes Tribunal it is then.
