Story

A tonic is defined as something that invigorates and strengthens. I love that jewellery can bring back fond memories of wearing them to a special place or event, and so Tonic Kapiti has been designed to offer beautiful pieces of Sterling Silver jewellery to do just that - so when you wear your favourite piece, you'll feel good about the memories attached to it, for the jewellery to be a Tonic to you.

To me, Tonic is my dream coming to life… for so long I have wanted to take the plunge and start my own business. Tonic is a collection of quality imported sterling silver jewellery, and my own designs, which are handmade to order under my label Lea MacDonald Designs. My specialty being bespoke chains, bracelets and earrings with an organic feel.
I have a passion for jewellery of all types, closely followed by shoes and other accessories. Quality is at the top of my list of what makes a good piece, it is so important to me that you buy a special piece that is going to last. All Tonic’s and Lea MacDonald Designs pieces are sterling silver.
I love the flexibility and life balance that having my own business allows. I also get to share my passion and love my work!!
I am passionate about supporting other New Zealand businesses through Tonic and where possible I have sourced materials and packaging from within New Zealand.
I look forward to sharing Tonic with you and am excited about the possibilities of new collections and in the longer term adding to the jewellery range with other accessories.
