Luxury cinema, whats not to love- you can have a glass of wine on the side table, excellent service and delicious food bought to you! Super comfortable double sofa. Loved it everyone had food so there is no need to worry about feeling akward eating, although I didn't want to make a noise when it went quiet!
Really enjoyed this Cinema experience, very different to the traditional trip to the Odeon. The seats are awesome and really comfortable with plenty of space. Elvis was a good watch!.
Severely disappointed. Have had better experiences at Vue cinema. The one star is for the beautiful interior design fit out and the incredible air freshener scent as you walk in. The staff however didn’t seemingly have a clue, customer service was terrible with no explanation of what we should do, how we should order or pay etc. and no service, having waited for over 20 minutes I took matters into my own hands. Despite all this, and the absolute worst experience of this luxury cinema concept was that the double sofas were SO small and uncomfortable and there were no tables to put any of the food you ordered. It was actually quite difficult to sit next to my partner through the whole film without overheating. I recommend you pay for the recliner seats at Vue for a way better and more comfortable experience.
£3.00 to get business from people who may not usually visit the TIVOLI due to its expensive price tag should be a grand idea as it will hopefully get people coming back... Unfortunately, to do so, Customer Service needs to be of an acceptable level first. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. Rude member of staff who approached us on the entrance demanding tickets, and then a menu taken off you as soon as you've ordered it's like there's a limit. Followed by a person who checking tickets, not really caring about her job, being miserable and not showing people where they are going... First time customers would have been disappointed. It's a shame as it does have a great building and great seats, but really let down by the staff. Plus, the hand wash in the Gents toilets doesn't have any allergy or information on what it is, just a weird brown texture. Which I didn't use. A Shame. Could have been better. And yes, I have emailed.
I was looking forward to coming to the Tivoli as I like the screens and comfy sofas with foot stools however the lady who greeted us at the top of the stairs wasn't welcoming and didn't say hello or please when she asked to see our tickets. She came across as stressed. We sat down and ordered our drinks to take in the screen with us and as soon as we ordered with a girl a guy came over and took the menu quickly. It seemed very rushed. The girl checking tickets at the entrance to the screens wasn't with it whatsoever and appeared half asleep and said bluntly "up the stairs and turn right". No hello or enjoy the film. The drinks took 20 minutes to arrive so we had to find out where it was. When the girl brought in the drinks she nearly dropped the tray putting the drinks down. I stopped it from happening by holding the glasses. To think they charge £18 normally which is very expensive for poor service and staff that just aren't with it. It was only £3 so it was alright but I definitely wouldn't come back and pay full price for the bad experience I had. Management need to sort this place out.
Very mixed views about this place. Some great things and some things that seam wrong to me. Went to see the 12.15 showing of a rom-com with the intention of having a late modern breakfast/ brunch. Little disappointed in this as it is a run of mill snack / lunch menu . Burgers, nachos deep fried dipping, etc. Ordered coffees , which had to be paid for at the bar even though the tables are numbered where we sat to drink them while looking at the menu. Coffees were nice and served quite quickly. All of the staff on this day were young with one lad eating nuts or something from his hand while behind the bar and walking around serving with no hand washing. this was a no-no before covid came along . Once you go to your seats in the studio you will have to sit through a very long period of adverts and film trailers to facilitate the serving of food/drinks pre film. Seating, sound and film experience are brilliant, although an option to turn off the side lamp would be nice. When we entered the bar/food area the music on was a good mix of background style but played to loud and intrusive to any conversation. The decor is great, art, pictures and furniture are fabulous. Overall it needs some supervisory skills to warrant the £18.5 per head ticket price but best of luck for the future
Bit of a novelty. Yes it's nice that people bring you food whilst you're sat in relative comfort, enjoying that film that you've wanted to see for ages. But then, suddenly, infront of you, someone else is having food and drink delivered and the waitress is square in your line of sight. There is a problem with the order and the pivotal moment in the film is lost. You're left wondering if you can either figure out the bit that you missed or if those sweet potato fries are really that important.
I like coming here to treat myself from time to time. The seat are very cosy so if you are somebody who falls asleep easy don't come here. It's nice having food being brought to your seats, but if its a busy showing it sometimes takes awhile
A superb venue and the first of it's kind for what I'm sure will be a successful chain of new concept cinemas. There are only four screens and limited seating in each, but what sumptuous seating. Loads of leg room even for six footers, with lamp adorned side tables between two seater couches and individual arm chairs - all with cushions. The bar and restaurant has the unique facility of allowing both food and drink to be taken and even being served in, the auditoriums. The staff are highly trained and very customer focused. Tansy in particular had no scruple in changing my beer that was past its best being the last out of the barrel. The movie we saw, Mary Queen of Scots, was appreciated more by my wife, but the whole experience was impressive and an assured repeat performance October 2021 - post lockdowns. There to see the latest James Bond movie - very good. As is the venue. Just as good as my last visit and even busier. Half term and the programme, accounting for much of that. Plenty of new staff, well engaged, rushing around. Didn't stay for eats or libation this time, there would have been a long wait. It's best to make reservations and requirements on-line before attending if, in situations like this, you want a smooth quicker service.
I had a great experience at Tivoli. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food was excellent and great value. The viewing experience was really comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. A great way to unwind and a real treat.
