Tirohana Estate

Loved our whole experience from the pickup through to the drop off service. The lamb shank was perfect and the 3 cheese tart was equally lovely and paired with the wine we had a lovely dinner which we finished with a lovely glass of port. Will definitely return one day.

Tirohana Estate is a gorgeous, relaxed little winery in the Wairarapa, which often comes recommended. Its food didn't quite live up to the high expectations we had, but the setting is lovely, service is good & their "Unity" wine is worth writing home about: a unique, summery, fruity & yet rounded blend of Mendoza Chardonnay with tropical Sauvignon Blanc. Would like to try more of their wines, but there are better food options nearby.

We had a lively lunch in the sun yesterday. The fish was delicious. The lamb shank melted off the bone and we all enjoyed our deserts. Some were willing to share others weren’t. Tells you it was good.

Tirohana Estate is a gorgeous Winery. Made a reservation for dinner, was offered a courtesy pick up and drop off from accommodation. We arrive to friendly staff and a delicious tropical drink. Seated at our table with our menu's, talked through the various options for our three course meal. Had a taster of a delicious soup in a shot glass, at the end of the meal you get a chocolate Truffle to end your meal. Food is well presented and full of flavours. Good size proportions, Highly recommend the bread and butter pudding. Staff are all friendly and lovely, great sense of humour. The atmosphere and vibe at this little gem is what will keep people coming back. I am already thinking of when I can get back here.

Amazing dining experience. Complimentary travel to and from the restaurant, welcomed on arrival with complimentary drink, menu explained in detail... Great food, great wine, wonderful ambiance. One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Thank you!

We, as a family of 8, had dinner at Tirohana Estates restaurant in mid September 2022. We had been there many times before over the last 14 years or so and once again selected Tirohana to celebrate a special family occasion as we were staying 2 nights in Martinborough. We had a most delightful experience – the food, the setting, the service were all outstanding as always at what we believe is a fair price for what is offered. Toby along with Claire and Paul made sure that everything was perfect in their usual very friendly, efficient and accommodating way. For this reason we will, without any hesitation, continue to go there.

Don't think there are any bad choices here, but we really enjoyed the lamb shank and fish. And yes the signature bread pudding with caramel sauce was delicious. A great experience for anniversary number 14 and we'll probably be back before the 15th.

Absolutely the best place!! Been here for birthdays and engagement and they have the most amazing food and wine. This is fine dining but at wonderful reasonable prices. The guys are amazing and make your visit special every time.

Excellent dinner and service. We brought along our seven year old daughter, and our hosts were super nice with her. The lamb shank and bread and butter pudding and Panna cotta were our favourite parts of a great dinner.

Had a lovely dinner. We skipped the entrée and had a main and dessert which we were allowed to do by the manager instead of having the whole fix price menu. The small dinosaur leg that the waitress served was tender and delicious. The crumble was nice although I prefer my wife's home made variety. My wife liked her vegetarian option and she was glad to see a choice of 2 vegetarian options on the main course menu and 5 vegetarian options on the entrée menu. Well done Tirohana Estate a meal well worth the cost. The estate sauvignon blanc was particularly fruity and highly recommended.
