Beautiful.nnA modern expression of Alex, which is cultured by the people who live here.nnScandi vibes, but without the extremes of minimalism.nnComfortable, spacious and clean.nnPrices are very fair.nnThe team I witnessed are dedicated to serving and meeting the needs of their customers, with hypnotic grace and efficiency, whilst exuding joy and ease.nnOf course, there is always a whimsy and rose tinted bias of a first timer in an unfamiliar location - yet - attempting to pierce the balloon of charm and deflate it, I found that The Tin Goose isnna flowering fruit tree of Alex.
This café was a lovely surprise on our way to Dunedin. It’s one of the few places open so early, and I was really impressed with the quality in every way.nnThe interior is cozy and beautifully decorated, and the staff were warm and welcoming nnI really appreciated being asked how much milk I wanted in my piccolo — it was perfect. Everything was excellent, and I’d definitely recommend this café without hesitation!
Food is over priced for the quality. I had the ham cheese tomato toasted croissant $15. It was only just warm. Cheese mostly not melted what little cheese there was, overdosed with a very sweet tomato chutney. Very tight with the quantity of fillings. This should be a $5 item, not $15. Coffee was also not very warm but nice flavour.nOutside seating is nice and location is great. Staff are friendly.....just the food is not good.
Having visited twice in the last year and a half both visits have been enjoyable. I had the egg and bacon pie which was awesome and gluten free.nWould like to see a few more cooked options on the menu, even just a “build your own brekkie”.
Stopped in for lunch on our way through town, such a great wee spot! We both had an eggs bene with bacon and they were beautiful!! Paired with a delicious iced latte and berry smoothie service was great and the food came super quick!!
