Was a wonderful surprise visiting this cafe, had a wonderful selection of food! Coffee was great and were so accomodating for the kids. Staff were friendly. Was a pretty cold day and was cold inside the cafe but we wore our jackets and it was fine. Food tasted and looked great. Will definitely be back if we come this way again on our travels.
First time here, I can honestly say we have the best Cafe food and hot drink here hands down I can assure you I have been everywhere. The food and wonderful array of sweet and savoury treats not just looks good but also tastes great. My husband had Field mushroom with Chai Latte. I had Waffle with custard/maple/berries/bacon with cappuccino.
Stopped by The Courthouse Café in Alexandra and had a mostly enjoyable experience. The cheese scone was tasty, though I think it would’ve been even better if reheated in an air fryer instead of a microwave—microwaving really changes the texture, and not for the better. Also, like many cafés in New Zealand, they skimped a bit on the butter. Not quite enough to generously cover both halves of the scone.nnOn the plus side, the coffee was excellent—smooth and well-balanced—and the service was warm and efficient.nnI ordered the Salmon Eggs Benedict and it was delicious. However, I had specifically asked for it without spinach, and it came with rocket instead. Technically not spinach, sure, but I don’t really want greens on my breakfast plate either way. It’s the little things, you know?nnAll in all, a good café with quality food and coffee, but a bit more attention to detail would make it even better.
A little hard to see at first glance but we'll worth finding. Delicious breakfast of waffles, custard, berries and bacon. Wonderful coffee too!
Decent coffeenSpicy chicken tequita was a blast.nSalted caramel brownie moist and dense. Slightly on the sweet side but paired perfectly with yogurt on the side.nPlain croissant with jam and butter was impressive!
