A great local resource. We'll presented and maintained facility. A natural history museum, art gallery, kiwi-house, Tuatara and gecko displays live, miniature trains, shop. Great family facility. Pleasant helpful team. Check it out.

Super friendly, well appointed. We were delighted to see a living kiwi, going about it's business. Awesome displays in the museum and the trams and trains were going. Excellent day!

It was fun, informative and convenient. Very understanding customer service. Unfortunately not everything was open to the public school holidays activities could be a great addition for the duration of. But we had fun, 4 hours went past quickly.

We have seen and touched a kiwi for the first time in the place. Could have been better if some areas are open.

Parking options are via 2 gates about 500m apart. Gate 1 adjoins the museum buildings. Gate 2 by the train track. Excellent day out for the family. No café on site. Rides are very reasonable cheap

Not too expensive. Museum, Heritage Park, Train Rides, Kiwi Encounter, Bird Recovery Facility, all in one place. Great place to visit with young children and older children. Nice scenery with an amazing collection.
