A very strange place indeed. Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable.nCan’t comment on service as not once did I see any staff. The office was unmanned every time I went past. There’s signs everywhere telling you everything you need to know though, and the old hospital feel is still there.nThe place is looking a bit run down, definitely not matching the photos online and parking was dodgy at end of day.nOur room unfortunately was backed on to where the organ was in the lounge, so some creepy late night haunting tunes were heard lol
Stayed here for a couple of nights and enjoyed the facilities and atmosphere of the old hospital. Jan was very helpful and the kids enjoyed hanging out with Silky the cat. Even had a hedgehog come to visit out site.
Stayed here with my self contained campervan. Great location, service and vibe! Planned to stay 1 night and was so much fun I extended.nEquipped kitchen and Laundry. 4 Square supermarket & 2 wonderful cafes 5 min walking. High ROI!
Worst camping spot in the history of camping spots. Shower is not getting really hot, and even in the times where the coal boiler should work it was not hot enough. There’s no light in the males bathroom, the whole camping area is a bad maintained muddy backyard which looks absolutely devastating. The kitchen is the word of disgusting, like what in the world? The whole building is falling apart, not maintained, not isolated & just creepy as. There is no office, we haven’t seen a single caretaker for 24h, it’s a literal rip off, they expect 40$ for the worst night in your life. Did I said something about the neighbours already? Music and gunshots blasting until 2 in the morning, looks like nobody in this town cares about sleep I guess. DO NOT STAY HERE AND AVOID THE WHOLE AREA.
Last minute find and a great one! We camped here and the staff were kind and it is a very relaxed environment. Tons of space to hang out in the main building which was an old hospital really cool architecture, lots of bathrooms, free showers, big kitchen. Highly recommend!
