Theobroma Chocolate Lounge

I really love Theobroma and this is my favourite to order! I am a big fan of desserts and Theobroma got me with this one. Their waffles are so soft and so delicious. Their chocolate is to die for as well. All great things combined for this place!! Highly recommended specially for couples wanting to date, friends wanting to catch up, and siblings wanting to spend time together. Ambiance is great and very casual. Love!

I had the pancakes with ice cream & maple syrup & it was so delicious! I really like how you can customize it by also having the option to add chocolate &/or banana. The size was cute but also quite filling & the ice cream was very nice. My only complaint would be that I wish I could of had a little extra syrup My friend had the waffles with ice cream, syrup, chocolate & banana & she really enjoyed it but also found the chocolate to be quite indulgent.

The staff were very helpful and pleasant to deal with. The hot chocolate and food was excellent. We are so pleased we decided to stop in at Theobroma. I fully recommend this business to everyone.

Beautiful Chocolates. We had the dark chocolate spoon and the Hazelnut cone very delicious would purchase again. The christmas chocolate gift boxes look very delightful!! Hot Chocolate really delicious but very sweet so next time I will prefer to have the smaller size:

Hot chocolate amazing as always, I would highly recommend you don’t go here for anything else though, especially the bacon and eggs. Barely cooked bacon and soggy, awful eggs that taste like they’ve been cooked in a microwave. Sub-par at best

Never had that bad experience before. Front stafftaking coffee orders was so rude. Girl be polite with customers. You are getting paid because of them. Hire some friendly front counter staff before its too late...very disappointed!! 0/0

It is always enjoyable stopping by for a chocolate or a taste of waffle. However, as most of nz, it count on appearance more than on substance. Waffle, croissant, chocolate. Top 3 selling of the store. All very good looking. However: the waffle is easily too small; the croissant, tbh, is disappointing, not particularly good and too dry; chocolate kind of average. I really would love to give more than 3 star because it is a nice store with nice vibe... But I can't give 5 star if the food is good looking and just average in the taste.

Fantastic coffee. Great food. Service was excellent. A little pricey, but nice to indulge yourself every now and again.

New to Christchurch and felt lucky to have found this, as been to the Melbourne one. Chocolate cake was divine, I guess you couldn’t go much wrong with any item on the menu especially if you are craving chocolate! There is also a lovely staff member who was attentive and seemed happy about her job — she’s a rare gem.

The first chocolate Coconut hot chocolate blew me away. It comes out in a mug on top of a little stand thing with a candle underneath. Really awesome. Since then they've been cold, warm...warmish...even when I ask for extra hot. Really helpful NZ girl on the chocolate and ordering side who I've seen a few times when I've been in
