No hot water for a shower the 1st night I was there and had to constantly keep on bar staff to get it sorted my second night there, Was very disappointed especially after a 13hour work day all I wanted was a shower and decent bed,Rooms: 2/5

Friendly warm and ....humble. dated. Nearly a 2 star the toilets have a strong smell...like urinal Tablets? Relaxed which I like so 3 stars

It was ok. Sadly the Yaldhurst isn't what it used to be when we used to go there after the bike racing at Ruapuna. Now it is just an old gamblers hangout. Horse racing and dog racing TAB making money off the tears of the poor and addicted.

A local pub. Great atmosphere, nothing pretentious and a great place to meet the locals. Happy hours are something else. Well worth a visit.

I have only been to the bar, but the bartender was super friendly and helpful. The inside is clean and warm. There is a nice log burner for the colder evenings. Service is prompt and efficient. Also they have $10 jugs for any beer on tap. There is outdoor seating for the smokers, lots of parking and a pool table. This is a solid place to get a drink and hang out.

Last saturday of the month, is Brown Bombers afternoon the place absolutely rocks, great staff, beer,s colc good company, what more would you want.....woohoo

We spent a month in this fine country. The missus says the chicken stack was the best meal she's eaten in NZ. Steak was a ripper, staff are lovely too :
