Really impressed at the new buildings and the facilities even though the project is taking a long time to complete. The premier University and the highest ranking one in New Zealand, University of Auckland maintains a good reputation among students and alumni. The campus is amazing and well structured. Currently undergoing major redevelopment and renovation.
The best university in New Zealand. Students not only get the best access for learning and research but also for well-being.
I have wrote a review before about how I was treated badly at the university of Auckland when I gifted stuff to the course coordinator. Looking back at my review, I have realized that every country has its owns rules and culture and I might have violate their culture in a certain way. Not only did it cause unfairness toward the education system, I was blaming others for my own fault. I came from one of the corrupted country in the world and for me to gift stuff is quite common in my own country. Since New Zealand is one of the least corrupted country in the world, giving stuff frequently might lead to unfairness to others students who are paying the same fees as me. Now I have come to a realization but that doesn’t mean what people have treated me is the right way to behave. Overall, I’m letting go of the grudges that I hold against the people who had mistreated me. Fairness and equality exist to a certain extent. There is no right or wrong answer in most cases, it’s up to how we view things. I’m writing this review again because I believe there are good people out there that are part of the university of Auckland and thank you for the lessons. Through my experience, I have met a lot of different types of people even in my own country. It was rough but the lessons was worth remembering. As I grow older, I don’t really care who see my review and say what. I’m owing up to my mistake and grow as a person. That’s just my way of living life. Making mistake is normal and there is nothing to be embarrassed about it.
Stop Forcing Teaching Maori.nnWhether you want to study engineering, accounting, philosophy, or chemistry, you will be required to complete a mandatory course covering the Treaty of Waitangi and New Zealand history.nnThis will also apply to international students who may only be in New Zealand for the duration of their studies.nnIt means that of the eight courses/papers that a student enrols in for first year, one will have to be the mandatory Māori course. This gives them one less course to choose for themselves.nnI assume that they will still be obliged to pay for the course, despite it being compulsory.
Stay away from this University. All the credibility they have built up over the years has now gone. You will pay an enormous amount for unqualified rude professors and no support from the administration team. The professors will tell you they don't know the material and they will learn with you. They will take marks of your grade if you ask them to remark an assessment. All communication with the academic team is pointless no one will actually listen to you to hear you. You will get rude responses telling you they are done talking to you and they don't care. Don't get me started on the administration team God forbid you need a credit transfer. This will take one to two years to process and if you follow you regularly they will stop responding to you. You are better off learning off Google then attending this University.
