Best coffee in Stratford! Delicious long black and husband had a flat white. Pies are yum, made in house which is great. Piece of cake was delicious and massive. Husband had a donut which was also very good- even had options for the filling! Friendly staff, vegetarian options, sit in or outside which is nice too. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely be back!
I wasn't expecting much and was surprised with nice strong coffee and a delicious feta spinach pie. I'd like to order a sweet slice but not many options available. Staff were very friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. Bread available look fresh and yummy. Highly recommend!
This place is so so good. Really good flat whites, friendly and approachable staff. We had an amazing pie there and a gorgeous slice of blueberry cake. But the best thing I tasted was a sourdough almond croissant. It’s so good!! We have been back several times and every time has been amazing. Go here!
We were really looking forward to visiting the Taranaki Sourdough Co and drove an hour to get there for a special treat but will never go back. The young woman behind the counter was really rude and had no idea her behaviour was off-putting and alienating. The hot drink I ordered came in a miniscule cup and when I got outside I took the lid off and it wasn't filled to the top and the tide was out and it was pricey. It also wasn't good. We did buy a couple of cakes and they were truly delicious but the overall impression we got from visiting the shop was that we weren't welcome.
Nice little place easy to miss. I'm not a coffee person but my fiance is. She loved her cinnamon coffee I had a mocca. Should of asked for a Xtra choc shot. Very strong on the coffee but still very nice. Will adjust my order next round. Worth revisiting for shore
Went today to check it out and received surly service which was really off putting. No customer service skills at all and not friendly. Had a sourdough donut which was delicious but the coffee and hot chocolate wasn’t anything to write home about. Plus they seemed a bit light as in the tide was out. Was made by the same woman who served us. Had the customer service been friendly then this was likely to have been 4 stars. It’s really important that a customer doesn’t feel negative vibes as it definitely affects how you feel about the place and it’s products. Maybe we just got a bad day but it does mean we won’t be heading back there in a hurry.
I stop here every time I drive through Stratford - the best coffee in town and the baked good are really great. The cinnamon scroll is my favourite snack, and I often buy a bread or two to take home.
Pretty good bread , and decent service!
Delicious pie, good coffee. The sourdough we tried was tasty but had sunk in the middle and the upper crust was a little too chewy. Will come back and try another loaf.
Really nice sourdough bread. We got a loaf of Rustic White Bread and it was still hot, straight out of the oven. Some of the best bread that I ever had! Make sure to stop at this gem if you are passing through Stratford!
