Cool place to stop by! Don't need to long, as it is not huge. Loved that it was free entry. The attached cafe seemed a bit pricy...
AmaIng gallery. Every visitor to Nelson should visit these attractions in town.nnSo many beautiful art works.nnPerhaps some more vibrance and Colour, like the paintings with the bro making some album covers for Sound Boy Tom Smythe at Solo Hair, Nelson.nnThank you Gene Kennedy for the Venue, you rock my bro, amazing to see your new space and what magic you and the team are creating.
I loved my walk around in here it was beautiful and so peaceful and there was a lovely friendly staff member who greeted me with Kia ora when I walked in and made me feel so very welcome It is worth a look and it is free admission as well
Was actually quite impressed with this gallery, it’s on the small side 4 rooms I believe but each was unique. Manny the Moa exhibit was my favourite by far! You can purchase a Moa for $400 to add your own personal name to the exhibitnnThe cafe on site is also nice, big windows over looking the gardens. They do table service. The tea for 2 is just 2 pots though, so if you’re splitting with someone it’s better just to each get the tea you actually want since there’s no discount for tea for 2 vs tea for 1nnThe gift shop here is also fantastic! A great selection of kiwi artists and art!!
As described in other reviews this art gallery is a beautiful, calm and enriching space. Take in the exhibitions then enjoy the excellent offerings in the cafe. The cafe deck overlooks the Queens gardens, with the flora reflected beautifully by the large glass windows. A gem.
