Everything about the Surfers Mistress is absolute perfection but not pretentious. The staff are professional, attentive & friendly. The food & cocktails are heavenly. Fresh, authentic & flavorsome. Feeling adventurous I tried dishes I'd never had before and they were all delicious. Great range for vegetarians also. Children are welcomed & treated kindly. Thank you to the owner, chef & staff for a perfect night out. It's the 1st time in ages I've had a 3 course meal because everything was just beautiful.

Our friends chose this restaurant for a birthday gathering, partly because of the advertised happy hour. We arrived for our reservation at 5:30pm and asked about the canapés but the waiters response was “no sorry that finishes at 5:45pm”. Pretty disappointing start. The same waiter wasn’t particularly warm and friendly. Tended to rush us for orders and made us feel like a bother. Food was very nice but portions are small for the price.
My second visit to this lovely place, and it continues to impress. My family was visiting on holiday, so I booked us in on line love the booking on line and the reminder confirmation email hassel free. My husband and I dont mind travelling from Levin.nThe food was absolutely delicious and full of flavour, and the cocktails were excellent. The service was great, and my family thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. The seating was comfortable, and overall, it’s a place we truly love.nThank you for another wonderful experience
