Arrived in Nelson midweek, staying near the waterfront, so I looked for a seafood restaurant to complete the day. Took a short walk to Styx to find it packed must be good. Host said they had a share table outside and a family of 4 were finishing up so we accepted that. Had a great view of the harbour and weather was great. Ordered our meal and our table was joined by another couple. Great food with wine and service was spot on.
Amazing food, view and customer service! We ordered the ceviche and fish of the day. Both were pretty good. The highlight was the fish sauce. Chocolate mousse worth it! Highly recommend!
Located on the wharf, great atmosphere, friendly service. The seafood chowder was the best. The garlic shrimp pizza was very flavorful. Fish and chips were good.
We really enjoy eating by the ocean and the fact that The Styx has a yummy, value for money menu with regular happy hours, plus the fact they are pretty much open all the time all week makes it an easy first choice on a good day.nThere's cozy fireside or sheltered alfresco dining and the staff are always engaging and attentive.nnA comfortable local, enjoyable whatever the occasion and just around the corner from beautiful, bustling Tahunanui Beach and fun park.
Very nice food indeed we all have a 3 course and were not disappointed at all, well worth a visit, you need to book a table,
