We had such a fantastic dining experience here! It’s definitely a popular spot, so making a reservation is a must, especially around dinner time as it gets very busy. The atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, and the service was attentive throughout the night.nThe food was outstanding — the seafood was fresh and full of flavor, with the chowder being an absolute standout. Rich, creamy, and packed with perfectly cooked seafood, it was one of the best I’ve had. I also tried the venison, which was beautifully prepared, tender, and paired with flavors that really elevated the dish.
The Styx is such a nice spot down on the waterfront with delicious food and such a nice laid-back atmosphere. I found the staff to be very welcome and helpful with dietary needs. They really take extra care and are quick to make alterations as needed. Well worth a visit for a good meal.
We came here for dinner on a Wednesday without reservation. We had ceviche and Styx salad with grilled fish which was delicious, and we had creme brulee for dessert. The creme brulee wasn't my favorite but overall we has a great experience. Nice views and tables outside!
Our lunch at The Styx was truly exceptional — one of those rare dining experiences where everything comes together perfectly: the food, the atmosphere, and the service.nnThe seafood chowder was absolutely outstanding — rich, creamy, and full of fresh, perfectly cooked seafood. The balance of flavors was remarkable; it’s honestly the best chowder I’ve ever had, and I’ve tasted this dish in many corners of the world.nnThe fish and chips were equally impressive — golden and crisp on the outside, soft and tender inside, with just the right seasoning. Simple, fresh, and flawlessly executed.nnAnd the service was nothing short of excellent. Our waitress, Sophie, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful. She made us feel genuinely welcome and added a personal touch that made the whole experience even better.nnA perfect lunch by the water — delicious food, lovely atmosphere, and warm, professional service. The Styx is a place I’d gladly return to and wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting Nelson.
Had a lunch today.nThe food is fresh and very tasty and service is great. Nice views. Reasonable prices. Will come again.
