Staff are friendly, we were given a window seat with a beautiful view. The food however was below average. Salmon sushi wasn't nice at all. Just basic food. The best was the slow beef check with garlic bread. The desserts were the best but just above average. We had one plate each of mains and dessert and left. It's quiet cheap to dine here though so at least I tried it.
Beautiful stunning view of Queenstown. Lovely spot for a lunch and dinner. The staff take really good care of you and are super helpful. The food was above average and all you can eat. Definitely recommend!
Average quality Buffett food with only a couple of items that were done well. Namely the Angus steak, and squid tentacles. The experience is worthwhile mainly for the magnificent views. Two main seatings for dinner, 5.30 and 7.30 and would recommend the later seating so you can catch the evening Queenstown city lights as you head down the gondola after dinner.
Overpriced but subpar. Booked for 7:30 and didn't get in until 7:45. The service staff who took us in was very friendly, and it's pretty much the only redeeming thing about this place. Food was average, dessert was alright though. To be honest it wasn't that bad until I saw a service staff put dropped serviette and cutlery on a new table. Luckily no one used that table. It looked like they were short staffed, but that kind of service is unacceptable in my opinion.
On top of the skyline gondola, Stratosfare Restaurant and Bar is an amazing restaurant. A great place to take in Lake Wakitipu, the Remarkables, and Cecil Peak. With breath-taking views and fantastic meals, this restaurant is a must-visit. This is a great place for lunch, dinner, or just a drink.
Stratosfare Restaurant and Bar is an amazing restaurant atop the skyline gondola. With some of the best views of Lake Wakitipu, the Remarkables and Cecil Peak. The luge is right behind the restaurant and there's also a gift shop on site. The meals and drinks are phenomenal with views that are second to none.
What an amazing restaurant! The food was delicious , good service and an amazing view. Even received a complimentary glass of champagne as was our honeymoon. Left felling happy and full!
Very disappointed. Went there 2weeks ago for a dinner and everything was absolutely going downhill compared with my last couple visits. 1. Lack of variety They used to provide clam and laksa soup before but this time they only have shrimp and mussel for cold dishes seafood and miso soup to replace the laksa soup. Obviously overpriced with this kind of food variety. The most disappointing thing is that there was NO ice cream provided on that night. The ice cream trolley sitting there without ice cream then why did they even put it there??? 2. Shortage of staff The lady who led us to the table was nice. Yet, during the whole dining we had to refill the water jar by ourselves and no staff came to clear our used plates as we couldn’t find anyone to come help or they looked too busy serving the others or just stood there talking. 3. Dirty utensils The spoon was soooooo dirty as shown in the picture below which made me shocked the plates have dust on it and people kept leaving the dirty ones aside with no staff took them away… well they did but it was like after most of the customers were gone 4. The food was only refilled when requested. The soup was empty and one of us had to wait for quite a while for a refill. At last my friend asked one of the staffs and finally got refilled after a long wait… apparently not only the soup wasn’t being refilled but other dishes as well… 5. Staff were eating at the food bar in front of the customers. The dining time is limited to 90mins. However the staff working at the food bar were no longer serving anymore after the first 45mins but chatting and eating there. Tbh it shouldn’t be shown to the customer. I don’t feel any respect with that. Also we were seated 15mins after the reservation time. It was such an awful experience and definitely not going again. Reflected most of the above situations to the manager right after the dining and only got a replied of sorry. Think before you go.
The restaurant is a must for bookings which we’re lucky to get a table. But wow the food selections are awesome everything from soups to different meats or vegetarian options, pastas and charcuterie selections to seafood and an entire desert room this place has it all! Delightful!
Great buffet with plenty of options and well thought out 'stations'. Expensive compared to other eateries but the experience is still one to be had. Bookings are necessary and even if they're running late, you just have to wait.
