Meat lover will love this place. Sweet soy chicken is very nice and variety of sources are provided. Korea BBQ is always fascinating. Hope server is more helpful. Other than great to go with that price.
Best Korean restaurant in Christchurch, a must to visit if you live here or just passing by. The waiter I guessing might be the boss’s son is super friendly, choices of food is awesome a la carte or buffet style, great environment to suit family with children or friends, what else can you ask for. Highly recommended !!
Korean BBQ Buffet - all you can eat, AWESOME ... I had trouble deciding on the choices so tried a wee bit of everything. Honestly, I was so full afterwards Staff were friendly and polite and pretty much left us to explore the dishes. Definitely going back again and probably going to make a habit of it
Visited the resto twice, once for dinner and once for lunch. There was a young chap serving us during dinner time, and he was very enthusiastic about introducing the dishes. Made the whole dining experience better as well. We ordered Samgaetang ginseng chicken soup, japchae, hot plate sliced pork with squid, and a fish dish. Yummm… The next day we came back for lunch as we brought guests to try hot soupy stuff on a rainy day. The young chap wasn’t around and the owner seemed a little more unapproachable as he didn’t smile and talk much. Overall experience not bad.
Dude this place slaps the food is fresh and delicious. I gotta say, they change the food trays every 25 minutes when it's empty so that's amazing! My favorite thing to eat there 100% is the prawns and the shrimp. Ugh! That's my kryptonite. The beer is pretty expensive tho so drinking water was ok. Wish there were more options for beverages. The place looked clean and cozy, only thing is, is that it is kinda smaller than your average buffet, so if you're planning on going with a family of 5 or so, it'll be kinda troublesome. But I went with my gf and we both enjoyed ourselves and indulged in some fine Korean BBQ! I would highly recommend this place, and for the price, you really can't beat it!
Looked a wee bit runned down, then you go inside and get the old Dunedin house vibes, then you are greeted by amazing accommodating staff, with big smiles. Great communication and a menu that is catered for a wide variety of customers. Then the monster feed arrived was so tasty and filling and left me feeling satisfied but not that stuffed feeling from eating fatty foods. Then tried the Soju which is like lolly water but hits ya for the price of a beer. Was so reasonably priced and delicious would reccommend to anyone! Vegetarian options: Loads of vegetarian options steamed dumpling and salad. Kid-friendliness: Kids can eat and enjoy a family meal or do the all you can eat bbq Parking: Parking roggt outside reserved for the station patrons Dietary restrictions: They didnt cook my food with seafood as i am allergic.
BEST KOREAN EVER. We tried a lot of Korean restaurants around New Zealand and this was BY FAR our favourite. The food is absolutely amazing, and we had a hot pot, grilled squid and a Korean pancake. We loved our dinner here. James is also an icon and so friendly to chat to! Hope you're going well James you rock.
I made a snap decision while in the neighbourhood to see if this place was still open and I was delighted to see them in business. It feels like going to your Korean relative's home for lunch. I've never been to a buffet style Korean bbq before and the owner or waiter who helped us was so patient explaining everything and left us free to explore which is exactly what I loved. Food was delicious and I wish I hadn't had breakfast before arriving for lunch because I could eat so much more. We'll be back for sure.
It was a really cool experience, straight in, good food. Foll your plate up with either already prepared cooked food, or some raw food to take back to your take and cook on your own grill! It was really nice to have a different experience than the normal restaurant experience.Food: 4/5
Our favourite place to eat!! Excellent food, lots of veggies, gorgeous grilled pork ribs and stir fry beef bulgogi. Absolutely love stir fry chicken noodles!! Selection of 6 korean appetizers is served for free and you wouldnt want to miss trying them as they are very unusual and authentic. Great owners and staff! Highly recommended!!!
