Was good decoration and service and was presented wonderful, nice cozy and quite Place. Good location too and good food. The chicken could have been hotter it was like warm by the time I was down to the last piece, it could have been juicer aswell and a more crispy texture of which it lacked. The sauce on the side was delicious! And the sauce on the chicken was great. The price also let it down a bit compared to other places I’ve had.
5 out of 5 stars? That mere number doesn’t come close to what it should be. Never have a left Monster Chicken disappointed for the following reasons. 1 Absolute gold standard service. Consistency pleasant, professional and friendly. B Perhaps the most delicious, tender, juicy and delicious chicken. iii The cosy, quiet and warm atmosphere. If you’re a fan of friend chicken, then you will have a monster time at this hidden gem in Church Corner.
Good Chicken, service was decent. I saw that the staff don't use any cleaning/ disinfecting spray to clean the tables after customers leave. Probably why ours was sticky... gross! Also 50c per cardboard takeaway container seems like alot!
Finally, after having so many recommendations, we have been there for our dinner. It was a nice cosy place, quite decorative. We tried the Monster Platter with Chilli Chilli Bang Bang and Original Crispy Chicken. The platter was HUGE!!! 3-4 adults would easily share. It was tasty, crispy, authentic Korean chicken, much better than any fast food fried chicken. Crispy outside, and juicy inside with a lot of flavour. We were very happy with the sides as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful with a big smile on her face. The only thing I was disappointed about was the toilet. It was not cleaned enough. This restaurant is in a very convenient location with heaps of car park. Go check it out
Rate this place and the people running it highly. I took the discerning teenage daughters here because we had already tried the othe one by the park. The the woman waiting front of house explained a cheaper option for the girls and they still had takeaways. Seeing another meal option i asked and was told it was a combo even cheaper again and what were having the next time there. Great vibe! Interior is great and lots to look at. I'm impressed. The chicken is fantastic. The portions are huge, ours was nice and hot. Reading other reviews I think some kiwis expecting KFC size coleslaw, just understand these are side dishes, and very tasty too!! Really cool casual place. We will definitely be back.
Best fried chicken ever. On the table, the chilli chilli bang bang, garlic bomb, mustard padak and the original fried chicken. Personal fav = the mustard pa dak. Don't underestimate the size, it's bigger than it looks. If you aren't a big eater, two people per dish..
My rugrat loves korean fried chicken so we have eaten as a few places like Myfriedchicken, kokodak etc. IMO this place is pretty good. Not at good at myfriedchicken in Auckland but pretty decent. The milkshakes are great!
Korean fried chicken with selection of different flavors. Lunch special with chicken, rice and kimchi. Affordable, large portion, quiet and ample parking. Disable toilet, parking and access to this place. Friendly staff, helpful with menu.
Waited 30min for order, It was delicious, loved all the chicken, got full, doggybag the rest in a takeaway box
