The Phat Duck Brew Bar & Kitchen

I had the pleasure of dining here during a recent trip from Lake Tekapo to Christchurch, and it was a fantastic choice for lunch. The food was excellent, with a diverse menu that catered to all tastes. The service was friendly and attentive, making our visit enjoyable and relaxing. If you're traveling through Ashburton, this place is definitely worth a stop!

Didn't have any food went there with my daughter for a monster shake. The doughnut on top of the strawberry milkshake was still frozen and old. Would have given a better rating if the service was any good.

Got a takeaway cheesecake desert, paid $18 and this was what we got. Very disappointed, tiny portion for the price. Advertised as a peach and passion fruit cheesecake. The only ‘passion fruit’ element was the sauce on the side of a plain cheesecake and a tiny slice of peach on the top.

We ordered the steak and it was well cooked, their red wine jus complimented the steak very well. Their ribs portion was huge and delicious. The potatoes wedges were fried to perfection whereby the outside is lightly crispy and super soft on the inside not dry. It’s the little things that made it stands out from the rest.nnLastly, you have to order their sticky date pudding. It was moist, dense and not too sweet in a good way. Just when we thought we over ordered with the mains and couldn’t eat anymore, we finished the dessert easily. I would say this was one of the best SDP that we ever had.

Nice place,staff are awesome,had blue cod and chips with salad.very nice but chips could be cooked a little longer.still yum.will be back again.
