Called here after visiting gisborne forest Great home cooked food, real chips..!! Proper ham and cheese in the toasty, Good coffee and cake. Would definitely recommend
Fabulous place - we had the cheese pie and Seabass, there was a little wait as it was cooked not heated - and it was well worth that wait. Both were beautiful. You can sit in or out - and you’ll need to pay by cash or bank transfer - no cards. The prices are very good for what you get. Beautiful surrounding scenery and views, old fashioned characterful decor reminded me of long past family homes, lovely service - nice people. Great experience - well recommended.
Lovely home cooked food in a beautiful, peaceful, rural setting. Dog Friendly dining in outside areas. We will definitely be returning very soon!
Now this is a place you want to go to, an old vicarage with character, we was in the area only for the weekend so we only ate there twice the first time was a Saturday night had a starter of pea and ham soup beautiful, then main was lam shank again it fell off the bone with fresh veg on a dish, couldn't manage a pudding and I'm not a small eater, beer prices was very good for a pint, so good we booked for Sunday lunch, like before it was very good no micro wave ding here highly recommend, give it a try but make sure you book and you won't be disappointed.
Fantastic!! Highly recommended... Will be returning
Staff friendly Homemade quality food Comfortable environment....with a table game on each table. Reasonably priced food and beverages. Just sorry I'm not more local.but really excellent
The Old Vicarage at Tosside is, in normal times a lovely restaurant/bistro set in a delightfully bucolic setting with spectacular views across the Ribble Valley to Ingleborough and beyond. However it cannot open normally in these Covid times, so it has reinvented itself as a gate side take-away with great success. The menu is basic but delightful see my photos and wholesome. Stop at the gate, read the menu, phone your order and wait. It wasn’t long before the food was delivered to us. Ideal for passing walkers, cyclists or oldies like us who sat in the car in the restaurant car park and the food was brought to us whilst we enjoyed the beautiful view. The food was basic cafe food, but well cooked, well presented and all served on recyclable plates etc, with friendly service. Excellent. There are no toilet facilities available at the moment.
Cracking food, all homemade and good size portions.
Lovely views from the seating outside. We had our dog with us. The food is really nice. Even when it was raining you are somewhat sheltered.
Beautiful food, lovely family run, visited twice as it was so nice. Kid-friendliness: Very lovely staff and family run. Parking: Loads of parking
