The Middle Restaurant and Bar Waiheke Island

Ordered a pizza and loaded wedges with bacon, pizza was good but loaded wedges were disappointing. All cheese and wedges are stuck to the bottom of the takeaway container, and despite me paying extra for bacon I didn't get any. Wasn't gonna drive all the way back just for bacon.

Cute spot with super reasonable prices! They had just ran out of the lamb shank *cries* so instead I got the goat curry, which comes with rice and garlic naan for just $30. It was really good and a significant portion - I took half of it home. Sadly I wasn’t able to make it back to try the lamb shank but it looked and sounded amazing judging by the other table.nnGreat little hidden gem in Surfdale!

The goat and vegetarian curries are absolute must-tries, bursting with rich, authentic flavours that kept us coming back for more. The burgers are a work of art, and the lamb shank is a true indulgence that we couldn't get enough of.

What a beautiful little hidden gem! We were a large party with three small children and the outside garden was a huge hit for the kids. While waiting for the food to arrive, they entertained themselves by playing hide n seek in the gorgeous backyard. The food came out rather quickly and everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the chicken tikka and it was fabulous. We would definitely come back here again and again! Thanks for the great service :

A quiet May Friday night on the island … we decided to try The Middle bar and restaurant. We have soft shell prawn tacos and cheesy garlic pizza bread to start and a scotch fillet and quinoa roasted vegetables salad for mains along with two beers and two wines. The food was faultless. Simple gastro bar style dishes but cooked to perfection. Will go back,
