I was taken by my family for my birthday dinner last night. We all had a wonderful time. Eduardo the owner was a brilliant host, the staff excellent. We all ordered different meals and everyone was very happy with their choices. My grandsons steak looked delicious! The food was worthy of many more visits! This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and it was so nice to be able to chat without loud background noise. We were all very full and happy when we left to go home. I highly recommend The Mediterranean Birkenhead, you must try!!
This place has a very nice aura and relax feel. Meat was fresh and delicious, will definitely be back again. The skewers were yummy and large portions, enough for two!
My family and I came for dinner on the 17th and wow!! The food was incredible!! We used to go here when I was younger and the food is just as delicious as I remember. The staff were so lovely! They provided great service and made sure our night went smoothly. You can tell this place is full of so much love. Will 100% come back as it’s our family favourite. Truly made my birthday so much better :

I am very impressed with the service and food at this place. If i had a gold star here i would reward this here with my comments. The owner has obviously done an awesome job to keep his customers happy & pleased. I have been here 3 times and the hospitality is top notch all the time. The staff are all friendly & polite. We dine one evening for 3 people and we had a complimentary entree stone oven pita breads with dips, and because it was Tuesday they have free desserts for ever main meal you order. We love dinning here and we think the price is fair for the quality from their menu and hospitality from their staff. We will be back again for more. Compliments to the owner & chefs, including the waiters. Thank you for the wonderful time at your restaurant :-
Stopped by for lunch since it had quite good reviews. I expected the menu to be a bit more interesting but it was mostly normal cafe fare like fish and chips and steak sandwich. The food was alright. Service was good and the place itself was quite nice. Maybe more of a dinner place.
The only downside is that it can be a little slow. There were 1 other table apart from ours. But the waiter was quite nice told us beforehand its going to be slow, and given us suggestions of what to order. Food was tasty never the less.
Went for dinner the other night and it was amazing. Great service and the food was delicious. The moroccan lamb salad was a stand out and Eduardo is back.
One of my BFFs recommended this excellent and interesting restaurant in Birkenhead. So after checking out their website and booking a table, Herself and I came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Once we had been greeted and seated by our gracious host, we selected and greatly enjoyed the specialty of the house; Skewers with flatbread, rocket salad and tasty dips. Herself had the Chicken and I had the lamb - both were generous,moist yummy servings! In addition to their meal & drinks and a Belly Dancer on Saturday nights, the Mediterranean offers a Shisa Menu for their guests who enjoy smoking from a modern Hooka. The Med is a hospitable establishment that is proudly and well run by enthusiastic hosts and helpful staff. The Med is a genuinely interesting place that is well worth enjoying regularly.
Food took over an hour to come extremely disappointed!! There was only about 4 tables full so no reason to why our meal should take this long. All our meals were close to $40 so the overall experience was not worth the price, I left extremely upset with my food barely touched. Our table was wobbling and the overall atmosphere felt dark and gloomy. Not enough staff and nobody took our order until we actually went up and asked after 15 minutes a couple who came in at the same time as us actually got served before us and left before we even got our food Do not recommend to anyone who is hungry. Ended up walking down the road to new world for a second dinner.
