Ordered a phone online through the Loop, got email confirmation for my pickup upon arrival. I go to the collection point and there was nothing there to be collected I was advised that my order was cancelled, I did not receive a cancellation email, no refund and it’s been a week since the money was taken out of my account, they have full stock of the item online. Haven’t heard back from them after phone calls and emails! Very poor, would not recommend purchasing phones off them even if they are cheaper than prices outside of the airport!!!!! I better get my phone delivered!!!!
Purchased a couple of bottles at the duty free. At the cashier advised that if I want a bag to carry them in then it was an additional 0.50c. Oh an apparently I should be excited as the bags are recyclable. Really a regular plastic bag can be used again.. no kidding. Green washing and petty nickle and diming. Not impressed.
Duty Free means the price should be lower than full retail in New Zealand by the amount that Duty would beotherwise - just like it used to be. Bought spirits yesterday and it's the same price as retail in NZ when researching at home. Misleading and a rip-off. Don't bother inconveniencing yourself at the airport , just buy retail instead. If i could give zero stars, I would.
The Loop beauty counter manager needs some customer sensitivity training. I made a small purchase and a bit later decided to cancel my purchase. When I requested this, the manager was called and her first response while making a grimace was a curt “why?” I was shocked. If she had just asked politely, “may I ask why you are returning your purchase?” I may have felt a little differently and if she gave me any stupid excuse after that nicely and politely, this would have been a non-event. But, no- She made zero effort to hide her contempt for me. Her expression clearly showed me that what I was asking was ridiculous and it was a huge inconvenience for her. I concede that it is somewhat strange thing to do at a duty free mall this was first time for me but I think I’m entitled to make returns at a store. I suppose customer service is not a priority when that customer will most likely not return for a second time. She was so rude and made the whole situation feel so ridiculous that I just walked away saying that it’s fine. It was a single item and I was so shocked that it was a huge deal enough to make your customer feel stupid as if they are doing something wrong. Don’t shop here- shop at Aelia, just opposite the Loop. Professional and courteous. They also ACTUALLY know what they are talking about when you ask questions about liquid requirements. One person at the Loop told me that if the container is not clear, it will be problematic and you can’t take it. Absolute nonsense but just in case I didn’t make the purchase. Of course, just as with everything else, this was also nonsense. They don’t even give your purchase in a red-tape sealed bag like Aelia; it’s in a normal zip lock bag just with their logo on it. What is the point of this? A child could open up the bottle and put something else and seal it back. Amateur hour. The Asian lady sales assistant who helped me was very nice, only thing that saved it a bit. I bought everything else at Aelia and was glad I didn’t spend another penny at the Loop.
My flight departure was affected by the flood and I had to go back into New Zealand with my duty free items. I was stopped at the security check and my goods were withheld because they were considered dirty since the items had left the security area. The manager from loop duty was so helpful and replaced the same product for me after understanding my situation. Thank you for your service.
Very disappointing and very expensive. Arrived back in NZ to find only The Loop Duty Free open. But, with no competition these guys are a full retail outlet. Their prices were often higher than Super Liquor or others save money by using google. And the staff said there was very little stock eg no single bottles of brandy and no Glayva plus others. But their competitors retail liquor stores in Auckland had plenty of stock. I just calculated that my 3 bottles cost me $15 more than shopping elsewhere. Not recommended.
The bottle of wine was advertised as $33 but the at the counter I got charged $40. I asked the rep twice but she said no it is $40. After I paid and was packing the bottle, I saw her walk down and take down the advertised sticker of $33. This seems to be against the consumer guidelines of advertising a price. I won't be buying again!
I picked up some duty free and paid for it at the big counter say "Pay here". As I was leaving with my receipt a man from this store came up to me and told me I had paid at the wrong place and had to return it. Apparently I had to get a refund from the "pay here" counter and pay somewhere else. He had apparently watched me pay at the wrong place and not said anything until I was walking away. I was made to give the duty free back and got no refund, despite still having the receipt for payment in my hand. Absolutely abysmal service.
we were misinformed by Loop staff for carrying sealed bottle of whiskey confiscated and destroyed at the Singapore airport. loop staff need more training or better informed. very unhappy as we had clearly informed the staff our transit at Singapore to Amsterdam. will look forward to the explanation
After a long 12 hour flight two children and little sleep, my wife was hoping our small preorder would be ready. Staff had no idea and took them over an hour to find it/sort it. Any small amount of money saved is now gone on the extra parking I had to spend while waiting. Disgusting and incompetent service.
