Very disappointing for a first impression of Whangamata. I'll let the photos talk
Stopped for a drink and some chips. The chips were good. Good mix of meaty chips and small crispy ones. Carlsberg is a bit of a rarity in NZ so that was nice.
Meals were very ok. A clean of the establishment would be recommended.
Walked in expecting over cooked pork belly, walked out extremely happy after beautiful scallops followed by creme chicken, wow going again for sure!
Ordered the fish x two. Fish was beautifully cooked, moist and tasty but the meal was overpriced. Not enough fish and not enough vegetables. A long wait for food and even with Covid the service was poor, honest people out of their depths. Such a shame. Could have been better.
Lunch time menu not badly priced, I had a BLT but the ciabatta was not toasted, they do have some better choices.
Pretty standard pub, pub food and selection. Location is convenient.
