Drove from Auckland to visit the Christmas Bar and it was well worth the trip! So much thought has gone into the decorations, the staff were amazing and the food and drink was delicious High recommended!
This place is Sooooo festive. The food was delicious and plenty of it. Great festive drinks menu and the dog menu was outstanding.nHonestly, this was the best Christmas Eve lunch with all the extended family. Relaxed, festive and fun. Would definitely do this again!nThanks The Keg Room!
We went there last week for Friendmas and paid $354 for six people, expecting a magical night of tapas and friends. The place is beautifully decorated, but we were soon disappointed.nnThe food consisted of only one small board with little food to feed six people. Honestly, the whole board couldn't have cost $100. We thought we would get a second board, but that didn't happen.nnWhen we expressed our dissatisfaction in other reviews , they rapidly said we hadn't mentioned anything about not being happy and next time to talk to manager , do you think we are coming back? . However, I personally approached the waitress and asked if that was all the food we were going to get, as it felt like daylight robbery paying $59 each for such little food not enough to feed a toddler and food quality wasn't the bestplease have a look of the picture that was for all 6 of us really that cost $354??But the waitress just ignored our complaint saying dessert was coming we got a little chocolate slab and a mini shot of bayleysnnWe had to order some chips to try and fill our disappointment. Not sure how worthy is the place for other events or their normal menu but if you are planning to book for Xmas please DON'T.Is not worth your money even when the ambiance is beautiful.
Great place, quick service and tasty food. All at a pretty reasonable price. We used the app to order, which was convenient and also saved us a few dollars! The food arrived pretty quickly and when I asked for some aioli to go with it they delivered it in a timely manner. I was a little disappointed in my sandwich Korean Fried Chicken as it was a bit tough, even using a knife to try to slice through it was difficult. The butter chicken pie was good, but fairly standard. I had hoped to order dessert wanted to try their s'mores treat but it wouldn't go through on the app and I guess I didn't want it bad enough to call the server over. So, while we didn't necessarily love what we ordered we liked it enough to want to try them again, but will order something different next time and maybe get the app to work to order dessert!.
Love this place, especially at Christmas! The decorations and effort put in are truly amazing. The Christmas cocktails were so delicious as was the food. Best part about the place though is the staff - they really do make you feel at home. So friendly, happy and personable. They just seem to really want to make sure you have a good time and have everything you need. I always leave smiling.
