The indian cafe serves great food but what makes it 5 star for me is their willingness to let you bring your own takeaway containers. If you're across the road at the free house you can take played across and get them filled up. Awesome too see
Awesome service, food and prices. Highly recommend. Maybe be wary if you don't like crowded places as this place was quite busy, but it made the atmosphere in my opinion.
I got Indian takeaway from here whilst in Nelson on my own to avoid dining alone, great prompt attentive service, food was as good as any Indian I've had anywhere else, if you're looking for Indian in Nelson I can recommend this place! Value, Service, And Quality here. Don't forget to try it if you visit this town
Definitely edible but nothing to write home about. Food was way too oily and buttery to feel decent. Grilled mushrooms in yogurt sauce were the highlight. Don't expect authentic flavors but a rather toned down spiciness for western pallet.
Absolutely delicious food - highlights were the palak paneer and kadai paneer! Dog friendly in outdoor seating area which was great, very knowledgeable and friendly waitress, and super fast service! Will definitely be back next time we're in Nelson!
Really delicious food. The standard banquet very generous...we had plenty left over so took away to eat next day!

The food at the Indian cafe is seriously good! I don't remember having better Indian outside of India. The only problem was the naan came sooo long after the food that the food was getting cold I don't eat rice so was waiting on it to eat. Corkage at $10 I thought was a bit steep.
