The restaurant is opposite the Te Aroha motel. It’s inside the Grand Tavern you can see it refurbished and new and spacious from the outside.nThe food portion is huge and the price is very reasonable just value for the money beyond our expectations. The taste is good although the food is very heavy with lots of cheese and source.nHighly recommended!
Went with wife last night. Only us in restaurant no surprise there two drinks, bottles put on table. Lucky we had two spare water glasses. Entree, cheesy garlick bread.looked and tasted like cheese on toast one would do at home. I had steak, egg chips and salad. Chips were great steak mostly gristle. Told the girl, didn't seem to care. My wife had pork belly said it was O.KnCost $106.00 Been in Te Aroha for nearly 7 years now, 1st and last time at the Grand.
What a cold hole in winter! We asked for the heating to be turned up and got told to be patient that it will heat up in time & that they could only have one heater on at once although temp didn’t seem change the whole time we were there, clearly understaffed for a busy Saturday night, food was average probably won’t be back in future
Omg the surf and turf is delicious!. Staff are friendly and helpful. Will defs be going back!
First time in the refurbished Grand.nLooking very flash.nShrimp cocktail to start, lamb shank for a main.nBig meals couldn't eat it all.nGreat wait team.
