Old school pub-food portions. If your local pub restaurants have gone down the gastropub miseryhole with smaller portions and not the quality to match, you've probably forgotten just how big and tasty pub food used to be. Relive the glory days here.
The restaurant is opposite the Te Aroha motel. It’s inside the Grand Tavern you can see it refurbished and new and spacious from the outside.nThe food portion is huge and the price is very reasonable just value for the money beyond our expectations. The taste is good although the food is very heavy with lots of cheese and source.nHighly recommended!
First time in the refurbished Grand.nLooking very flash.nShrimp cocktail to start, lamb shank for a main.nBig meals couldn't eat it all.nGreat wait team.
What a cold hole in winter! We asked for the heating to be turned up and got told to be patient that it will heat up in time & that they could only have one heater on at once although temp didn’t seem change the whole time we were there, clearly understaffed for a busy Saturday night, food was average probably won’t be back in future
