Visited last Sunday - Walking distance from Te Aroha soda spa, great vibe and food and drink. friendly and beautiful staff, Loved Te Aroha special lemonade 'Te Aroha Lemon sparkling soda' had fish and chips, red curry, Chicken with Korean bbq sauce, all were amazing - back garden had magnificent Magnolia and heavenly smelling jasmine flowers - will visit again
With the appearance of a great neighborhood tap room, this restaurant provided dishes that were rich with flavor and skillfully created. The vegetables were all fresh and cooked perfectly. The lamb pie has a very strong rich flavor. It was almost a deconstructed shepherd's pie with the potatoes on the side. Short rib had a lot of meat and fell apart. It also had crispy ends. The chowder was filled with seafood and vegetables with a background sauce. Everything was amazing. They have a combination of inside and mainly outside dining to enjoy the beautiful summer weather.
Squid entree was nice but main course mine - fish, fries and salad left a lot to be desired. Fries were barely warm, fish was way overcooked boarding on dry and the salad was swimming in dressing. Also the weight time after ordering was exceptionally long even though the place was not busy. When I said we 5 out of 6 of us didn’t enjoy our meals the response was quite ambivalent. Fortunately there are other eateries in Te Aroha.
Stopped in for lunch today. This little place punched above our expectations.nWe were greeted by friendly attentive staff, the place has a good vibe especially with the live music, the coffee was great, a new chef has revamped the menu. So we tried the specials off the board, What a treat.nnWe will be back.
What can I say.. we came here on Friday. The food was so exceptional that we booked a night in Te Aroha, just to have another meal here. We ended up having lunch and dinner here today. There are no words.. the food is exceptional, adventurous, and simply divine. I don't usually eat dessert, but had to see how it is. The chocoholic is perfect, sweet but not sweet.. deliciously decadent. Thank you. We certainly will be back.
