If you're looking for an outstanding gastropub experience in Onehunga, Good Home is a must-visit!nnWe stopped in on Tuesday for their popular Pub Quiz and Burger Night, where you can choose any burger from the menu. We ordered the beef burger and the chicken burger, and both were absolutely incredible – juicy, packed with flavour, and cooked to perfection.nnThe drinks menu is just as impressive, offering everything from craft beers and wines to fancy cocktails and a great range of non-alcoholic options. They also have a tempting dessert menu if you have room after your meal.nnAlthough there was no seating available inside due to the busy quiz night, we easily found a spot in the covered outdoor area. With plenty of seating and heaters keeping everyone warm, it was a comfortable and enjoyable place to relax.nnThe atmosphere was buzzing, the food was exceptional, and the service was fantastic. We left feeling completely satisfied and already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended!

We recently celebrated our daughter Kobe-Ray's 21st birthday at The Good Home Onehunga, and from the moment we arrived until the final farewells, the experience was exceptional.nnAs a Māori whānau, manaakitanga is something we value deeply, and the team at The Good Home demonstrated this in every interaction. A special thank you to Shania and Emily, who managed our event with genuine warmth, professionalism, and care. Nothing was ever too much trouble. They anticipated our needs, moved seamlessly throughout the day, and made us feel completely welcomed and supported.nnOur daughter had thoughtfully planned for the celebration to begin at 11.00am so that our kaumātua and kuia could comfortably be part of this special milestone. The venue was perfect for this. The nearby park was an added bonus, allowing our mokopuna to play freely while the adults enjoyed each other's company.nThe food was simply outstanding. The pizzas and platters were fresh, generous, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. You could genuinely feel the care and pride that had gone into preparing them, and our guests commented throughout the day on how wonderful everything tasted.nnOne of the highlights was having Kobe-Ray's kapa haka whānau join us, filling the venue with waiata and haka that celebrated her journey and brought immense joy to everyone present. The atmosphere was one of love, laughter, whānau, and celebration, and the staff embraced it with genuine respect and enthusiasm.nnIt is rare to host an event where everything comes together so effortlessly, but that is exactly what happened. There was truly nothing we could fault. I always enjoy spending time at Good Home Onehunga. I celebrated a special occasion there last night. I made a booking online I recommend booking ahead as it does fill up and I put in the booking notes that it was a milestone birthday celebration. The staff made my birthday guest feel special and cared for. We will keep coming back for special occasions as the food, cocktails and service are always good!

We went here for our Christmas party. I had a great time here. The food was served very fast and they tasted very nice. We also like the old school vibe and the staff was super friendly and helpful!
