Extremely flavourful, generous Mexican food, located on the main strip in Tauranga. Ambience was excellent and they also have a large selection of cocktails to go - only gripe was they didn't have any mezcal but don't let that take away from the selection on offer! We have fajitas, ribs and enchiladas and we were pretty well stuffed for the evening! Waiting staff all had permanent smiles on their faces and were the perfect hosts.
Great evening and food! Been a while since we last been at Barrio Brothers and the food was excellent with fantastic flavours. We were placed in a slightly dark area where I had to use my phone's torch to read the menu but once we ordered it was fine. There was a lively atmosphere with vibrant colours and the staff was friendly with good service overall. Would highly recommend Barrio Brothers and we will definitely come back next time we are in town again.
1st time there, food was good, but the ordering by QR code system needs some work as half our order was missed. The Staff were friendly enough, but maybe need a few more as service was a little slow.
have been a fan of their tacos. superb sauce whatever it is.creamy.tasty.right amount of spice.finger lickin good. veggies are fresh and crunchy.chicken was crispy. perfect size for me.might be small for people with big appetite. 15.80 for 2 tacos.have not tried the rest of their menu..not really a fan of burrito.Recommended dishesChicken Tacos

For hearty, well flavoured Mexican food, The Barrio Brothers is the place to go. The staff were friendly and the ambiance makes this the perfect place for dinner.Food: 5/5
Excellent! The food, drinks and especially the vibes were awesome! We came here for a date night with only an hour left before close and the staff was nice and didn’t rush us. Amazing food, service and ambience. Half price discount on Wednesday if you get seated between 4:30pm to 6:30pm on food selected menu*. There are good vegetarian options, if any dietry requirements please ask and let the staff know. Must try horchata Panna cotta and churro for desserts. They have plenty of seatings to accommodate large groups.
Thursday night discount margaritas was just what the end of the work year called for. $13 jugs instead of $30 -winner! Great food as usual and fast service. The squid is always great here, never overcooked. It was pricey for the family to eat at $150 for five of us and that was with two of the kids under 12 eating $15 meals.
