Highly recommend for food, service and atmosphere... this is a real showcase of how small-town NZ thrives and offers really great food. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived yet our meals and drinks came very quickly. They clearly know what they are doing here. Two of us had the chicken and leek pie which was as good, if not better than home-made. Two of us had steak sandwhiches and were very happy. Hopefully I'll be in Masterton again sometime and will be able to revisit
Great meal in pleasant surroundings. Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken was wonderful to eat and priced well.
Superb place for a drink or meal with friends and family.nnTook the kids here and while they enjoyed their kids menu I was flabbergasted at the sheer size of my chicken burger.nnThankfully it was delicious, as was the kids pizza.nnSpacious and modern - spotted at least four separate areas to hangout - I can imagine the place is heaving when busy, and based on the quality of the food and service I’d say that happens pretty regularly.nnEven the toilets were awesome!
7 of us went here for dinner and all left disappointed. Outrageously priced for what you get. Steak and Guiness pie was $30 for a frozen supermarket pie with a handful of frozen chips. The lamb pizza had eight full cloves of garlic on it with a base hardly cooked? Service reflected the quality of food. Very unfortunate for a prime location in Masterton.
The service was extremely bad!nWe waited 50 mins for two entrees.nThe garlic bread didn't turn up.nIt was another 45mins before we got any main meals. We had children that ordered kids meals and they had to wait almost 2 hours for food. Their desert didn't come out and we had to ask for it..but it still didn't turn up.nWe had to wave the waitress down to get drinks.nA couple came in way after us and they got their main meals before out entrees.nIt certainly was not busy we know why..with only one table inside who came after us and a couple of tables outside who were already eating.nWe asked about a discount for the desert but was told it was free.nThere was no discount given.
