We just just thoroughly enjoyed two adult meals at Farriers for about the same price as McDonald's. That's where any comparison ends. The quality at Farriers was absolutely unreal!nnThe burger I had was HUGE! The meat patties were pure quality and perfectly cooked. The veges were fresh! And the chips were spot on!nnMum said The arancini balls she had were the best she'd ever tasted!nnThe waitress who served us was very polite and friendly! Gave us plenty of time to choose from the menu. Then once our meals arrived she came to check if everything was okay and if there was anything else we wanted!nnCan't recommend Farriers highly enough!nnI'm just sorry I didn't have any cash on me for the tip jar!
I found the atmosphere and service flat. I ordered the slow roast lamb shoulder. It wasn't what I would expect of a slow roast lamb. Large chunks of tough gristle and lacked flavour. Corn was quarters of a corn cob that was hard and jus was runny. I expressed my disappointment and received a 45% discount. I couldn't eat much of my meal. The rest of the party enjoyed their food.
we ordered the seafood chowder it was a decent size and came with quite a lot of side bread, you definitely don’t need to order more garlic bread to go with it. The order came quickly and the waitress was very friendly. Would return
Highly recommend for food, service and atmosphere... this is a real showcase of how small-town NZ thrives and offers really great food. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived yet our meals and drinks came very quickly. They clearly know what they are doing here. Two of us had the chicken and leek pie which was as good, if not better than home-made. Two of us had steak sandwhiches and were very happy. Hopefully I'll be in Masterton again sometime and will be able to revisit
Superb place for a drink or meal with friends and family.nnTook the kids here and while they enjoyed their kids menu I was flabbergasted at the sheer size of my chicken burger.nnThankfully it was delicious, as was the kids pizza.nnSpacious and modern - spotted at least four separate areas to hangout - I can imagine the place is heaving when busy, and based on the quality of the food and service I’d say that happens pretty regularly.nnEven the toilets were awesome!
