Lovely accommodation and comfy beds in a handy location as well. Thank you to the manager for waking up for us before 7am to check us in after a 7hr drive. Pleasant rooms. Comfy bed. Asked if I could have a late checkout the lady wanted to charge $20. Wasn't impressed most places are very accommodating to let you stay free of charge for up to an hour.Rooms: 4/5
Very clean, spacious room, water pressure great, beds feel comfortable and new plenty of parking. Friendly staff . Definitely recommend will stay again. Great value.

Feels posh and bespoke. We were very lucky to stumble upon this place. Stayed here for a conference held in the larger hotel up the road and I think this one is much nicer and cleaner. Quieter too. Like staying in your wealthy English aunt’s beautifully furnished guesthouse. Exceptional customer service, they remember us and I never had to wait in a queue to speak to someone knowledgeable. Highly recommend booking here and just walking to your conference.
Really beautifully renovated rooms, spacious and very clean. There is a nice ambience in the dining/reception area. Overall this motel is much nicer and more luxurious than the sign and frontage of the motel indicates at first glance.Rooms: 5/5
Excellent rooms,very classic. Location is ideal if you want to travel South Island the next day as for the price in compared with what you would pay in Wellington for a classic stay like this, its really cheap. The customer service was awesome. Friendly staff and lovely people. Rooms: Rooms are large and spacious. Very classic.
This was really clean and comfortable, with a little patio outside. Sadly they are victims of staff shortages so the bar and restaurant are closed. The woman at reception was lovely, so friendly and helpful. At one stage she was was having to do extra long shifts and housekeeping duties herself because of no staff but kept going with a smile on her face. Would go back there just because of her loyalty.
Don’t judge a book by its cover. Slept 2 hours more than normally this trip because of black out draps and a surprisingly comfortable bed even their pillows didn’t go flat! Spacious room and close to town. Wifi was fast. Really like the hunter lodge feel in lobby. 5 because of how I slept and value. Paid 3 times this much in other places.
Lovely clean room and bathroom. Very comfortable bed and pillows. They were great waiting for us as we were late off ferry. Easter eggs in our room was a lovely thought on Easter Sunday. We will be back.Rooms: 5/5
