I loved the place. I stayed for 19 nights as I visited Lincoln on work purpose. The rooms were newly renovated. I like the rooms. The room service were excellent.nThe location is quite convenient as there are a lot of restaurants and takeout places around and obviously there’s a great bar and restaurant downstairs too!
Well the food was good, service excellent and rooms nice but Im kicking myself for staying in a pub. Theres karaoke going on downstairs which is so loud there’s no hope of sleep. Id read previous comments about how quiet the rooms are and in the Booking.com description saw there was sound proofing which is why I booked. Fool me. The base was so high that on certain songs the bed was vibrating. Only stay at The Famous Grousse if you’re prepared to stay up until midnight
Came here on Wednesday 4th for my birthday dinner with my family. Served by Kaia who was an amazing waitress for the night. I had chicken alfredo which was great ignore the extra piece of chicken in the photo, my mum couldn't finish hers, my dad did comment that his lamb shanks tasted a bit green, so may be something to check on. Roadworks definitely made it annoying to get in out of the Grouse's control though. And I miss the chicken parmigiana and brownie/ice cream dessert being on the menu, but other than that was a good night for me.nKeep up the amazingly positive attitude Kaia, it bounces onto others :
After ordering our drinks/food at the bar, waited for an hour to realize they completely forgot about our order!! Offered a fare full refund, the bar and kitchen should not be run by clearly inexperience stuff, specially on busy night's. We left feeling very desapointed and hungry.
I have never experienced greater service. In my experience at the Grouse Lincoln Xavier was unbelievable, he was a great bartender, always showing a positive attitude and having great intentions with both myself and friends. He also drove us home in the curtousy van. Altogether my experience at the grouse was a great and the venue and elevated by the amazing staff exampled through Exavier.
