Checked out Empire Est the other night with the missus and a few mates.nStraight up, the staff were awesome — really welcoming and easy to deal with. Food came out pretty quick too which was good.nWe grabbed the goat cheese & tomato stuffed mushrooms and the 3 pepper calamari to start, and both were mint. Fresh, hot, and full of flavour — no complaints there.nFor mains I went with the Wagyu mixed chargrill platter. It actually came out at the same time as the starters which was a bit odd. Chips were hot, but the meat was stone cold which was a bit of a letdown — especially because the steak itself was cooked perfectly.nThe staff were great about it though, apologised straight away and took it back to sort it. They said they’d replace it, but when it came back it was overcooked, which kinda felt like it might’ve just been reheated.nAlso for $69.99, I was expecting a fair bit more food. Being a “platter” I thought it would be bigger and a bit more impressive for the price. Not totally convinced it was legit Wagyu either to be honest.nOn the plus side, the rest of the crew got burgers and they all rated them, so it wasn’t all bad.nOverall — awesome service and great starters, but the main didn’t quite hit the mark for me.

Stumbled into @theempire_est_1950 Tuesday deal ANY starter + ANY main for $53… still not over it so we did the only sensible thing — oysters + eye fillet nnSuch an incredible deal with so many options to choose from with the exception of 4 items on the menu nnLong live all the magic we made

Really good food. Fast service. Was a little cold outside but once the heater was on everything was perfect.

Garlic bread was the best I've had from anywhere! Partners chicken burgers 5 thumbs up. Fish of the day cooked well - first time where I actually enjoyed the vegetables more than the fish. Great great food.nnService effective with meals brought out quickly for our large table.nnWould definitely recommend

Awesome night tonight celebrating a friend's 35th. They were so accommodating and went above and beyond to serve us. The food was great, I had the pork belly it tasted delicious a little small for me but our friends got the ribs which did not disappoint and everyone else seemed please with their meals. If you want a little fancy but still laid back dinner this is it
