"Situated next to the Arrow River Reserve, The Dishery is the perfect restaurant to take in the natural beauty of Arrowtown while enjoying locally sourced, sustainable & seasonal fresh food, cocktails and wine. Garden and indoor seating located in a tastefully designed new building adjacent to the historic Dudley's Cottage. We serve an all day menu for breakfast, brunch and lunch.Our food is contemporary and fresh. We use the original wood pellet grill - the Traegar grill - for slow cooking our beef and chicken dishes. This form of cooking enhances the natural flavours and gives a wonderfully tender result, adding another dimension to our restaurant menu. Our produce is sourced locally from throughout New Zealand."

One of the best tasting vegetarian brunches I've had till date. Hot chocolate was yummy too. Nice scenery outside and we had outdoor seating as the place was packed. It was quite cold so they offered warm blankets as well. We didn't have a booking but managed to be accommodated. The only thing we didn't like was that we were seated in between tables so the dogs were in very close proximity to our tables. We are afraid of dogs so they kept coming near us and there wasnt any room to move. The tables could have been scattered further as my back was touching the other customer as we sat at our tables. The dogs were sitting with the owners and licking the water bottle instead of the water provided in a bowl on the ground for them. Not sure how pet friendly this place is but if you are not comfortable with pets coming on to you or using same utensils just a heads up.
The restaurant is right on the corner of the park across from the parking lot. Attentive and nice staff. It has a nice amd warm space inside, outside area with beautiful park view I had the fried chicken with salad and waffle. It's good. My boyfriend had a interesting meat Pie, tender and salty cooked beef. We got nine drinks.
If you can, do try to come after 12 pm, which is when their lunchtime menu starts. Most of the dishes were really good! The carrots, especially. The beef brisket was not exactly fall off the bone but still decent.Food: 4/5
Lovely cafe with very friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Down side is if you dislike the cold like myself, it can get a wee bit nippy even sitting inside was sitting next to their fireplace and I could still feel a draft coming in from somewhere. Great food and coffee and would love to go back to try the rest of their menu maybe not right in the middle of winter again
The dishery was amazing. The location was divine and the food was even better. We had the chorizo hash and it was amazing. It had the perfect amount of kick to it. The venue was just lovely and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the Main Street. It was really nice to see that bathrooms were clean!!Recommended dishesChorizo Hash
Really nice eatery, with a great atmosphere in a good location. Had the chicken waffle stack with bacon and it was amazing. The coffee and hot chocolates are excellent.
Breakfast was superb, had the smashed avo with salmon! Delicious coffee and the service was fantastic - nothing was too much trouble! Would highly recommend. It was also one of the few places open for breakfast in Arrowtown open from 8am on a Saturday morning.Recommended dishesSalmon & Avocado on Rye
Staff pleasant it's hard when they are wearing masks but they looked happy. I had the burger and my partner had the salmon. Both were very good and not dry or over done. Very clean and tidy place to enjoy a meal in the sun.
Amazing dining experience. Great food, lovely thoughtful staff, strong coffees - great way to start the day!
Absolutely beautiful Staff were friendly, beautiful atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
