So amazing the Rob and Jody have a new place. Great location and amazing food and drinks. The schnitzel sandwich is devine and highly recommend. Nice indoor outdoor dining area. We will return
Breakfast today was delicious and the side of chili crisp amazing. Excellent coffee, so good we had two lattes each.
**First visit today but certainly won’t be our last**nToday we just had a coffee and kai from the cabinet. Our fave of our choices today was the flavour filled doorstop style Toastie. Yum!nSmiling owners and staff, giving off a genuine welcoming and calm vibe. Plenty of parking, and a number of stands too, to park my bike . Just out of the hustle and bustle of Richmond, a relaxing spot to grab a coffee and bite to eat.n[we enjoyed chowing down on the toastie so much - the photo opportunity passed]
Richmond gets a great new cafe from an accomplished lovely couple. Rob and Jodi previously ran the excellent North Eatery at the Heaphy Winery, and we were huge fans of Rob's outstanding pizzas and very creative delicious salads. The Craftsman cafe with its bigger kitchen now allows Rob to really get going with a carefully crafted full menu which is wonderfully different from the same old staples at way too many local cafes. Jodi is her usual charming knowledgeable self with excellent customer skills -- happily ready to chat with you if the cafe is not too busy.nnThe location and ambiance of the previous Alchemy Cafe here were always convenient and inviting, but the food is now simply at a very different level. The bus stop is right by the cafe, and we noticed a number of locals of different ages already walking in after this new cafe being open only a few days. Richmond has long needed a great gourmet cafe for breakfast, brunch and lunch, and we're delighted Rob and Jodi chose this location close to everything you might wish to do in Richmond.
Popped in for coffee on two occasions. Sadly the coffee was not good and expensive at $7!nOn my second visit I avoided the coffee and opted for mint tea. The mint was fresh mint from their garden costing $5. My friend wanted a tea and asked what was available. Staff were dismissive failed to chat through options. She eventually opted to have hot water costing $1. Meaning I paid $4 for a small sprig of mint!nGreat venue for kids to run around but cage has quite a way to go.nWon’t be back
