Story

Consumerism and acquiring 'stuff' has become part of life for those of us in the Western world. I share my thoughts on creating a home and lifestyle with a sustainable focus; natural materials and products, quality handcrafted goods, Fairtrade and ethically sourced goods, and displaying objects in our homes that tell a story.

I tutor in interior design, and am inspired by homes with a relaxed, natural and contemporary feel. When I come across interiors and goods that are stylish AND environmentally friendly, I'll be sure to show them here. We chose this place because of the great reviews. We were not disappointed. Our service was wonderful. The appetizers came out Hot, and quick. Our meals were delicious. Four of us had dinner here without a reservation and we loved it. They seated us right away despite being very busy. All our meals were outstanding. I highly recommend The Coastal Cabin to everyone!
The Coastal Cabin was such a lovely experience. The staff is very personable and they carry such a upbeat friendly energy. It’s the perfect place to have a low key chill dinner to just chat with your favorite people or hang by the bar and have some good food. The food was delicious, and the drinks were quality on point. I strongly the Smokey Sunday if you like mezcal ! I also added shrimp to my pesto Gnocchi and it was a knock out - SO GOOD !! I highly recommend it. The crab was also really yummy ! I will be back to visit - to try more things on their menu. Overall, I was very happy with my experience. If you’re in Narragansett, I would consider stopping in at the Coastal Cabin to dine in. We dined at The Coastal Cabin this weekend and were extremely happy with both our meals and our server. The Seafood Pie was outstanding. It was filled with shrimp, scallops and fish along with vegies. The Burger was cooked to perfection and the Gouda Hash Browns were delicious. Nina , our server, was fantastic with an amazing personality and was great at answering all our questions. We can’t wait to return. Thanks for a delightful evening.
Delightful local seafood with a culinary twist in a relaxed setting… nice location. Our family of four enjoyed the seafood chowder, seafood Shepard pie, and salads amongst others…. We were seated quickly and our dinners came out hot. A new fave!
Great local spot to get half priced apps during happy hour. Came with a small group and we all thought the food was delicious and creative. Great outdoor seating and the staff was lovely.
Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Friendly staff and very good service. Food was great and not over priced. More of a local place than tourist trap. I had fried scallops. Very light batter and not at all greasy. Would absolutely return.
Had dinner there last night and it was beyond expectations. The penne with shrimp in a raging of sausage was just delicious as was the wife’s salmon. The brioche bread pudding topped it off. Plus the service was outstanding. 5 stars!
Just went for Happy Hour menu and we tried all of the appetizers. They were all delicious and the service was wonderful. It was delightful eating on their porch.
The waitress was phenomenal. She worked our party of 12 flawlessly. My meal was okay but not exceptional. Other meals looked delicious. Great evening with old friends.
