What a stunning feast for the eyes! We attended an event here recently and what a spectacular place both in and out. Hard for disabled folk, with many stairs but it was an enjoyable experience. When I was seated, I looked up and it felt like I was outside amongst the stars. I hope to come back again
What a great and beautiful theatre the Civic is. It has so many spaces, and walking inside feels like being in a movie. It was also used by Peter Jackson to film King Kong, and today it hosts international shows. The place is very well kept, with respect for the time when it was built.nThe hall with its starry sky. The bronze. Everything always shining.nVery recommended to visit.
Historic Post-Moorish style cinema refurbished as a theatre venue. It has been beautifully restored. The only downside is the poor bars, typical of all Auckland Council venues.
The Dracula Ballet was absolutely amazing.nCast put heart and soul and lots of energy into the performance.nLots of patrons dressed up to the nines and/or themed to add to the atmosphere.
Beautifully restored theatre in central Auckland's Queen Street. This visit was a group of talented NZ musicians playing Neil Young songs which was excellent. The show was a sellout but everything worked smoothly. Helpful and polite staff.
